I'm curious as to what are peoples reasons for going black and why black specifically?

For some reason people always get super defensive and state 'because it's my preference!' but I want to know why.

I've searched for this question before and come across a post by someone, and seen the same/similar posts across the internet, where the answer comes from a woman who attempts to quote something from an article and says something along the lines of "only one part of a white mans body is like this but the whole of a black mans body is like that" and that somehow is meant to justify that. I can't find the article it refers to and the source is never presented. Anyway, back to the question.

I am from white mostly country so black men look very exotic to me that made me curious, interested. Also my family is pretty conservative and a bit racist so being with a black man was a taboo for me but thoughts of breaking that taboo were very exciting.
