A couple things right off the top ... you go to a flat tax, the government has to adjust spending or continue running up the deficit and national debt. So, the flat tax will only result in a Tax Shift ... moving it from income taxes to other forms of taxes that impact the poor more than the wealthiest Americans ... now tell me I'm wrong?Right so whats wrong with a fair tax? 20 percent across the board or whatever the rate is.
Second, you have a person making $20,000 a year, they're living in poverty ... barely able to provide a roof over their heads and feed themselves ... the impact of a tax (whether it is a cut or a shift) moves the income variances even further apart because the wealthiest income earners benefit the most.
