Humm, Just received a letter today from my insurance carrier. It states:
Dear Sir, We will no longer offer individual health care plans beginning Jan 1 2017. <...> You will have the opportunity to purchase health plans through the Federally-Facilitated Marketplace.

So, i have been paying into this for 2 years, at aprox $410.00 per month (Average as it started out at 380.00 and went up from there to 468.00) for a total of $9,840.00. I think I went to the doc twice in those 2 years, and it doesn't cover my scripts - so that's at least $9600.00 FLUSHED down the drain - Thanks Obama for such a great job with your health care reform bill.

In fact, after doing some digging, a lot of insurance companies have, or plan to, eliminate most of their individual plans to "encourage" people to use the exchange - Why? because the more individuals they insure through the exchange - the more subsidies they can suck hind titty from the government. Gotta love those subsidies and bailouts.

And by the way, I don't qualify for the exchange simply because my wife could put me on her insurance where she works but doing so would make our combined insurance cost $200.00 more per month than we pay now. So, now I must either pay out even a higher cost, or buy insurance from Safe-Auto, keep me legal for less that covers absolutely nothing.

See it's not just about passing a bill that did not have majority support of the people (in it's current form), or the fact that it is unconstitutional for the federal government to ******* us to buy something they control. It is also about the fact that Obama and other Democrats promised health Care REFORM. the ACA does no such thing. So not only are the insurance companies allowed to drop clients on a whim with no repercussion, keeping the amount of money that I have given them, they are also allowed to continue with their shady tactics to push more into the exchange so they can collect more money from the government costing many even more.

The ACA is a farce and a smoke screen costing - no TAXING - the middle class billions.

Its "Party Frustration" ... you know the conservatives have lost its way, have caused much of the calamity to this country over the past 15 years, and is probably falling apart and likely to incur major setbacks in this 2016 election. You guys NEED a punching bag.

Just like the black lives matter crowd....lets face facts folks....most of whats happend has been of their own doing. Stop acting like fools and have some respect and maybe you wont be treated like a criminal. Hate to say it but its true.

Also Too much influx of people who want to reap the benefits of the American way but dont want or dont believe in becoming real Americans. If you are going to immigrate to a country then you better learn the language and customs and become a citizen of that country.

anymore things around here have gotten out of hand... and there is very little discussion on anything... the right posts something they don't like and if someone says something about it..... it doesn't turn into a discussion it's an argument.... and you are the worst about it!

Well, it shouldn't take anyone having to put the other on ignore; simply "agree that neither will respond to the other's posts OR make 3rd person remarks of the other to other posters" ... seems like a gentlemanly way to resolve the issue. ....Alanm, the majority of the 1%ers, who control/influence the politics of this country, benefit a lot more than the poor off of "entitlements" ... for every entitlement you can list that the poor (defined as earning at or below poverty wages get), I'll be more than glad to list 3 entitlements (except they refer to their entitlements by a different name) that the wealthiest get that the poor can't fathom, much less be entitled as well. Its like playing the game of monopoly with each player having different amounts of money, etc to start the game, and one has a "free parking" on every corner while the other has a "go directly to jail" on each corner. The POOR do not influence politics with legislation, they influence politics with votes ... period. And the objective of the Rich is to keep those poor people from voting to maintain their power.
....I'm not complaining or whining ... I'm simply stating the way it is. I, myself, and my family make a modest income, but I'm not selfish and believe in helping the less fortunate, not taking from them.

....I'm going to let some of the black posters respond to this one, Alanm ... you and I have had this discussion before and the logic of our discussion seems to go right through one ear and out the other. Living in the part of the country you live in, and following GlenBeck, probably has a lot to do with your established ideas & opinions, but, you should be able to think logically for yourself IF you tried hard enough. You simply have a major shortage of empathy.
....As I've said a dozen times on here ... but you JUST DON'T GET IT ... and for that I feel sorry for you. One can not FIX a problem IF they don't UNDERSTAND the problem to begin with. Even Charles Koch said, live on a TV interview, that the "system" was greatly tilted in favor of the wealthiest individuals. I've posted that link as well ... go watch it.
