Missouri Gov. Mike Parson's office in November commissioned the state health department to analyze data on mask effectiveness but didn't release the information publicly after it showed they worked to stem COVID-19, according to a report form the Missouri Independent and the Documenting COVID-19 project.

The data showed masks were effective, particularly during the spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus in the state, according to the report. The analysis was requested by Alex Tuttle, Parson's liaison to the health department, emails show, according to the report.

The Independent and the Documenting COVID-19 project obtained the emails by making a request for them using a Missouri Sunshine Law.

"I think we can say with great confidence reviewing the public health literature and then looking at the results in your study that communities where masks were required had a lower positivity rate per 100,000 and experienced lower death rates," wrote Donald Kauerauf, the director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, in a November 3 email, according to the report.

The bully who pulls the levers of Trump's mind never learns

Some people never grow out of their inner bully. Some choose not to move on from victimizing behavior. And some are forever defined by insecurities that lead to the need to browbeat those who might outshine them. To be sure, many Americans have come to view former President Trump as such a bully.

Rather than argue a case on its merits or point out the missteps of a person's actions or opinion, Trump often resorts to schoolyard name-calling. It's a loathsome tactic by anyone trying to win an argument, but particularly repugnant and demeaning coming from one who holds - or did hold - the nation's highest office.

Trump recently put this knee jerk reaction on display yet again when he went after three of his favorite targets: the Washington Post's Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Woodward and Costa wrote about him in their book "Peril," and the reporting in that book that Milley called his counterpart in the People's Republic of China to assure him there was no cause for alarm following the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol. (Milley has said the calls were "routine.")

Trump's GOP goes Seinfeld: Party about nothing

Mitch McConnell has ruled out releasing any kind of legislative agenda ahead of the 2022 midterms, according to Axios reporting. Just a year ago, the GOP refused to write a party platform at its presidential convention for the first time in 150 years. MSNBC’s Ari Melber is joined by MSNBC contributor Liz Plank to discuss what it means when a political party literally refuses to say what it believes in.

Mitch McConnell's 2022 agenda? Do nothing.

Give Mitch McConnell this: He is remarkably transparent about his political aims.

Take the Senate minority leader's strategy on building a set of policies on which Republicans can run in 2022. That strategy? He's not doing it.

"Mitch McConnell has told colleagues and donors Senate Republicans won't release a legislative agenda before next year's midterms, according to people who've attended private meetings with the minority leader," reported Axios on Thursday.

The piece went on to note that "McConnell has long held the view that putting out an agenda ahead of midterm elections is a mistake — at least for Senate Republicans."

Why should he do any thing. He will get re elected so it does not matter.

Yeah. Consider coming from someone who has a truck like his neighbors to tow *******. I guess they need something handy to pull the single wide off the lot when the Trumpers come
you have to use you to haul your lawn mower.....I have one as a daily driver....short box GMC 4x4.....and an extended cab I use to pull my car trailer with....I have several show cars I take out of town to shows on occasion.....all of that is way over your head.....since the only thing you understand is your murray mower.....your dream is a john deere mower....but out of your class

what......... you took time out of your milking to have the neighbor show you a vid....now want to brag like you found it.....

wrong they have so much on him now should already be in prison....the question is......why isn't garland pulling the trigger for him to go.....garland showing america there is people that are above the law

go back to milking your cows
