This is a very touchy subject but I believe punishments for crimes in this era are very lenient, sending somebody to prison/jail which eats tax payer dollars shouldn't even be happening I believe it to be a complete waste of space and money, I believe there should be an alternative to this so we aren't paying for other peoples mistakes.
Prison/Jail is a school for criminals, they go in for 1 thing and come out having learned many new things to abuse the system only to be put back in the can for the new crimes they have committed.
I agree with the death penalty to an extant depending on the circumstances and the criminals actions, but at the same time I also disagree with it because life is a very valuable thing and any loss of life lessens us as civil human beings.

NO Sara, some people you can't be redeemed and never will. Even after incarceration some go on to ******* other inmates and Correction Officers. Just because they disappear while they are incarcerated doesn't mean they've changed. I'll go one step further, we not only need a death penalty, we need public executions. People are so far removed with electronic media from death that it's all like a fair tale to them. A century ago grandma died at home and people experienced death first hand. Now days it's all sanitized for your protection. A century ago if you murdered someone you were taken out and publicly executed and most people walked away thinking, "I'll never do anything that warrants that!"
People watch ******* shows every night on their TV set and at the end of the show they know actors got up and walked away. They play violent video games that once the game turns off the carnage ends. They walk into theaters with a demented mindset and open fire on innocent victims or place bombs in a crowd at a marathon and they end up on TV for the next 10 years. Once convicted some people should not be allowed to walk this earth to create further carnage, pain and death, we should deal with them promptly and publicly. No more cell with three meals at tax payer expense. No more TV set, no more place to rest your head in your cell or free medical care. It's working people that pay for this for the mad killers among us while innocent people are put six feet under the cold earth.

I Agree with this to an extant, they were doing it right when they were making examples of people out in public.
But I think that children should not have to be a part of that especially since they're innocent and influenced so easily.
I'm for the death penalty when it comes to white men. Namely because it is in line with what the current dogma of neo-liberal political correctness is heading towards, might as well put us out of our misery. The sooner the better, with the way this world is headed. Take a look into the underlying behind this website and it's increasing traffic and the fetish lying beneath, making a beta of the white male. If the genders were reversed this would be sexist.
I could continue for hours, however my actual point would be lost. White men should get the death penalty out of sympathy, it's so difficult to commit suicide without access to firearms, that the death penalty is a smooth alternative.

That would be another reason why I would disagree with it mary anne as I said it's a very touchy subject, and I believe depending on the circumstances the death penalty is justified ofcourse as long as it's a sure thing without any judicial mistakes.
It's usually why the process of going through the system for things like this take a significant amount of time to make sure there are no mistakes and every piece of the puzzle has been solved.
