i guess the real question that should be asked is this. In today's world what really constitutes or what is truly defined as being conservative. No one really can come up with a universal one size fits all kind of answer. it all depends on who you talk to at that moment and see where they are at. Ask them if they are and why.
there is saying that describes the difference between the two pretty well.
“In politics there are two types of ppl,”
1.the people who wish to be left alone
2.and the people who won’t leave anyone alone
The conservatives wish to be left alone and not infringed upon by government intervention, meaning they don’t want “the state” getting involved in they’re private lives
Liberals are virtually the exact opposite, they tend to believe that government intervention is necessary to solve society’s problems, and they yearn for government intervention in everyone’s life.
Conservatives tend to look at people as individuals with varying degrees of value in society, for them it isn’t race/gender ect. They judge ppl weather right or wrong they judge based upon what they feel is a persons potential value
Liberals again the exact opposite, they tend to not look at anyone as an individual but rather a member of a larger group “identity politics”
They feel that “groups” as a whole fall into the same mold,
It’s no wonder the two don’t get along
