Since some Dems are also racist, this statement is fucking ridiculous.
The criminal justice, which every thinking person agrees based on the facts, is a system that has racist results (uneven sentencing for same crimes, assumptions of guilt, excessive bail etc) - it's ran by people who consider themselves democrats and republicans.
Successfully employed? That would indicate some type of success at lessening racism in society. What's wrong with that?

I am not aware of any measurement that shows that we thought America was as racists _______, however, after 2008 it was only as racist as ________.
Obama was a huge step, yes, it showed us we were growing up as a nation. However, that overlooks that at the same time when he won the nomination, according to secret service he received more threats on his life than all other presidential candidates in their history, and as president we saw daily the racist emails, 'jokes', and discussions escalate. We also saw the rise in membership and boldness of racist groups. Don't know for sure if it had to do with his race but we saw decorum in government nosedive ("You lie!"), unprecedented breaks with traditions and the election of many radical right wingers. Just a coincidence I'm sure. But, yes, his popular election twice says a lot about America. So did the election of Trump right after.
