‘Trump’: Maxine Waters Cracks Up Committee Hearing When Answering Republican’s Question About What Putin, Xi, and Kim Have in Common

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) injected some unexpected humor into a House Rules Committee hearing when a Republican challenged her to condemn communist leaders.

The committee debated a Republican-introduced resolution on “denouncing the horrors of socialism” on Tuesday.

Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) questioned Waters, who said the resolution is “wasting our time” because “the biggest threat to our democracy” was the Capitol insurrection in 2021 when a mob of Trump supporters tried to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

“I think the fact that this isn’t passing on suspension just says everything about my friends across the aisle, that you can’t condemn socialism?” Reschenthaler said. “I mean, in your opening remarks, you were talking about Putin, Kim Jong-un, and Xi. You know what they all have in common, right?”

“Trump,” Waters responded.

Yeah, Ed gets EVERYONE suspended from the thread at some point, then he blames others for it.
Removing a jackass from a thoroughbred race is NOT a suspension.

Thank you for your reply. I don’t recall trashing anyone. I don’t recall being condescending or negative. I didn’t. I’m sorry you thought that. Thank you for the welcome. I have been here before. I took some time off. I do need a thicker skin , that’s always been a trait lacking. I’ll take your advice, and relax and enjoy. In all seriousness, I was having a Twitter, permanent suspension , tantrum. 😘
Well, hang on ... lol. :sneaky:

Economist Robert Reich: House Republicans won’t say the real reason why the 'federal deficit has exploded'

With Republicans now in charge of the U.S. House of Representatives under Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s leadership, they are once again arguing with Democrats over the United States’ debt ceiling. Democrats, along with many economists, are warning that if the U.S. defaults on its debt obligations, that event could trigger a major financial crisis.

Far-right Republicans in the House Freedom Caucus, meanwhile, are demanding big spending cuts. And many Democrats are emphasizing that cuts to Social Security and Medicare should not be on the table.

Robert Reich, in an op-ed published by The Guardian on February 1, agrees with Republicans and Libertarians that the United States’ federal deficit is too large. But he disagrees vehemently with the right on the cause. Rather than blame social programs, Reich argues, Republicans need to be intellectually honest and acknowledge tax cuts for the ultra-rich as a key factor.
Robert Reich?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

EVERYONE knows that tax cuts BOOST revenues... Let me guess, you think tax cuts need to be "paid for", right? 🤣🤣🤣

G'moaning Everyone and it's time for "RepTards in the News!". As we all know, today is Groundhog day and RepTards thought they get up early to see if this is the end of their disfunction as a party. This magical forecasting comes as our furry Punxsutawney friend awakes from his hibernation to see if he sees his shadow. He saw his big bold RepTard Shadow ... meaning RepTards have a very bumpy road ahead.

Now, to bring it all together, it seems the RepTard abbreviation "GOP" actually stands for "Groundhogs on Prozac". Well, unfortunately this powerful depression medication didn't curb the fact that RepTards have at least 6 more weeks of intra-party whining, asinine conniving, bickering and backstabbing.

Way to go RepTards and the plan is working perfectly ... for Democrats. Dopes. :devilish:
