The parlor games have begun as to how long House Speaker Kevin McCarthy can survive in his post now that he’s had to give up the power of the gavel to get it.

But one group of Republicans has more to worry about than McCarthy: The 18 GOP members who were elected in 2022 in districts that were won in 2020 by President Joe Biden. If the extremist wing of the House Republican conference gains a fraction of what it seeks, these Congressmen face a two-year nightmare of horrible votes.

The mom of a Donald Trump fan who died after storming the US Capitol was arrested on the two-year anniversary of the January 6 insurrection.

Micki Witthoeft, the mom of the late Ashli Babbitt, was taken into custody on Friday afternoon while partaking in a protest on Capitol grounds.

Witthoeft, 58, was identified by US Capitol Police as one in ‘a group of demonstrators who were illegally blocking traffic’ on Independence Avenue, SW, near First Street, SW.

‘A woman in the group was given multiple warnings to get out of the road,’ stated Capitol Police. ‘Instead of getting out of the road, the woman refused to leave, turned around with her hands behind her back, and asked to be arrested.’

I believe it is YOU who is politically biased, blkdlaur. And your continuance to defend conservatives when the obvious is so easily provable only points to your own offense to harbor/defend traitors to the USA, which in and of itself is illegal.
If you are going to defend a ruptured party at least admit to those who violate the constitution (such as Trump and his MAGA Maggots) and point out that you're a law abiding moderate. The fact that you defend the reprehensible makes you a guilty party, too.
