Politics, Politics, Politics

I agree...its always gonna be that way.
No, its not going to ALWAYS be that way ... it wasn't that way until the divisive Tea Party showed up and made it that way. Use to be the parties could sit across from each other at a table and compromise ... the Tea Party polarized the parties. People like Cruz & Palin don't belong in Republican politics, and their kind are slowly being moved out of the Republican party. The only reason why some are still there is because "some" mainstream Republicans feel they can't win elections without them. That's the ONLY reason.

There's a right way and a wrong way to win voters ... purposely obstructing the government's functions isn't the way. I'm hoping the mainstream Republicans will take a strong look at their platform and find another way to be a conservative party other than "Reaganomics".

We desperately need to have term & age limits for ALL politicians, reversal of the Citizens United decision, restrict lobbyists from Washington, and do away with the electoral college. These would help tremendously in "un-polarizing" a very broken government system.

the tea party is responsible for the dysfunctional government that is for sure... now the divide just keeps getting bigger... especially with the republicans having to kiss the tea party's ass to get what they want

Trump, Iraq and Max Cleland: The right’s endless hypocrisy over the war

While stepping off a helicopter on Hill 471 during the battle of Khe Sanh, 25-year-old Army Captain Max Cleland spotted an unexploded M-26 grenade on the ground and, believing it to be one of his own, grabbed it just in time for the grenade to detonate. It was April 4, 1968, the same day in which Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. Military doctors later amputated what remained of Cleland’s limbs, leaving him with one functioning arm, a one-way ticket out of the Vietnam War and a lifetime confined to a wheelchair in exchange for his dedication to serving his nation. Cleland emerged from the war with multiple decorations, including the Bronze and Silver Stars and, in 1971, he began a decades-long career in public service, beginning with a post in the Georgia state Senate, then on to Secretary of State of Georgia, Administrator of Veterans Affairs, and, in 1996, Cleland was elected to the U.S. Senate.

I will add that the right was willing to compromise as well back when Democrats were not so socialist and extreme as well. Its not just the tea party that has moved from center ....bernie sanders is the perfect example.
