His friend was a black college athlete who was a star player at the University of Utah where there were very few black guys and like you, there was always any number of white women who were available to him sexually at any time. I would say absolutely. Going into college I know my roommate and I were both looking to cut loose and enjoy being out on our own for the first time. The college had a large number of black athletes and all of them looking to party on the weekends.
