That takes a lot of work, I've always wanted to restore old muscle cars, but lack of time makes it impossible... When I build my house this year, I'm putting a 3rd bay in my garage, with a lift, so not only will I be able to work on my own stuff, but I'll find something to tinker with... Honestly, my dad loves Studebakers, and had several back in the day, I'd love to restore one, but finding one to work on may be a tall order!
Expensive too - loved the ole Super Hawks they had a pretty nice 289 in them as I recall - pretty rare to find one nowadays I imagine.

just trying to buy an election....and naturally the republicans are backing him

U.S. Supreme Court weighs Senator Cruz's campaign finance challenge

(Reuters) - The latest conservative attack on a major campaign finance law goes before the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday in Senator Ted Cruz's bid to undo a provision limiting the amount of money candidates can be reimbursed for personal loans to their own campaigns - a cap proponents call an anti-corruption measure.

Cruz, backed by fellow Republicans, has argued that the $250,000 loan repayment cap violates the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment guarantee of freedom of speech by unjustifiably burdening political expression.

The provision is part of a bipartisan 2002 law that already has been chipped away at by the Supreme Court including in a landmark 2010 ruling https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...orporate-political-cash-idUSTRE60K3SK20100121 that allowed unlimited independent spending by corporations and unions during elections as constitutionally protected free speech. The court has a 6-3 conservative majority.

Capitol riot suspect says he wouldn't have entered the building had he known QAnon conspiracy theories were false — but he still would have gone to the rally

  • A Capitol riot suspect said in an interview that he was misled by QAnon.
  • James Wayne said he wouldn't have entered the Capitol knowing QAnon conspiracy theories were false.
  • He said, however, local news station WJHL that he still would have gone to the "Stop the Steal" rally.
A suspect in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot said in an interview he wouldn't have entered the building had he known QAnon conspiracy theories were false.

But the man said he still would have gone to the rally.

Johnson City, Tennessee, resident James Wayne told local news station WJHL on Tuesday that he had been reading QAnon conspiracy theories online in the weeks leading up to the riot.

"What we were being told was that the FBI and the soldiers were standing behind Trump because it was a fraudulent election and arrests were going to be made," Brooks told the station after he reached out and agreed to be interviewed.

You wish ... Republicans are the ones pumping out all the wild, fake stories just to confuse everyone, especially their own base who they don't want to lose. Truth is starting to come out, daisy, better be sitting down as the subpoenas start stacking up. I expect Rudy Guiliani to start squealing like a pig come March. A month in jail should open his ass up to telling it ALL!

local news station is not a credible source
