Two huge and different 'fields', IMO.
I was never one really for the internet as far as porn and relationships. I was always a hands on northeast, NYC/New Jersey guy in the adult business or somehow related to it in some way, meaning the Asian massage parlor/brothel stuff from the mid 80's tot he earliest part of the 2000's. Please do not get confused what I was involved in with human trafficking, the NYC lower Manhattan enslaved Chinatown sex houses where the females were physically trafficked and enslaved. That was not my group of people, actually the state police and the NYC local authorities had a very good relationship with myself and whatever 'Asian Madam' I happened to be with at the time operating a business, you can say we did favors for each other, LOL--but so true. These were the businesses advertised openly in New York Magazine, the New York Observer Newspaper, The Village Voice and of course good old Al Goldstein's, 'Screw' newspaper. The human trafficked places, mostly at that time all down in Bowery--Lower Manhattan and Chinatown, were not advertised in the American news stand sold publications.
So, I have no problem with a pretty girl on my arm or in a relationship for many years. Had 2 X-wife's, one in the business and one not from the business. Went to swingers clubs in the northeast as well as South Florida, California, Las Vegas, etc. Never had a problem or fantasized about sex.
I gave it all up and went completely 'normal', mainstream right after 9/11. Eventually left NYC and moved to the Midwest. Married a Asian girl not affiliated with the business I was in. The thing that is so prevalent with people here as well as on other media, is the reality versus fantasy. I never said the common working girls are not cordial, friendly or nice, most are. But they hate themselves, their line of work and everything to do with sex, the highest majority of them, seriously.
Now, I do watch the occasion times my wife will turn out someone she knows into the lifestyle of the IR and the FemDom routes. We have met a lot of other couples and a lot of males (defined--much more than a beginning couple and less than many of the couples into this for decades). I personally find the younger males, the GQ and the body builders, into the quick hit and run thing, more of swinger types. The older males, 40ish and plus--without the GQ bodies are the hotter ones and the ones that spend the time with a couple into the IR thing, much more real.
