Does or did anyone have any known meeting places?
I'm from NJ and there used to be a place in the early 2000's right on 1&9. The Swan Hotel in Linden had a bar attached to it (I think it was called the Hideway lounge) and it was kind of a known thing that on Friday nights white women and couples went there to meet black men. The bartender was cool with it. The best part about it was that if you made a connection with someone at the bar all you had to do was go downstairs and rent a room.
