Vintage blacktowhite ... when it was really taboo

I think a lot of blacktowhite forum members like the subject because of the taboo biracial sex has had in the past. So I'm starting a thread on vintage racial pics, circa pre-1980s. To some that maybe lived the 1930's-1960's you may remember how taboo it was for white females to be seen with black men, much less having open sex with them. Although there is still signs of society pushback on black & white sex, imagine living in a part of history where a black man just whistling or touching a white often had some rather grim results ... that's what makes THESE vintage racial pics so dynamic.
I'll post a dozen or so, and if there is interest I'll post more. Not sure how I came about some of these pics, but some are real jewels and snapshots of a turbulent time of US history. Hope you like!

Sooo taboo. These pictures and this era capture the mystique that seems to drive my excitement and desires stirred up by being part of this site

My grandfather, my *******, and I come from three generations of differing environments regarding interracial sex.

In the 1940s and 1950s, IR sex was very much taboo (officially), but it still happened. For much of that time Gramps was a maintenance man for some apartment buildings that were mostly populated by white people. The official taboo didn't mean no IR sex; it just meant keep it really quiet! Then, as now, white women had their needs, and Gramps and other black men satisfied those needs.

Dad was an adult in the Civil Rights Era. Being in the South, he and other black men welcomed the civil rights advocates who came down for marches, protests, etc. The white women showed their support, in part, sexually. For white folks who lived in the south, IR sex was still officially a no-no. But Dad worked in yards and did small in-home stuff like electric repairs and minor carpentry. Many times the white wife provided her own kind of bonus in addition to whatever the going monetary pay was.

What part of the country did he live?

I dont want to imply that my mom ever had an impure thought, but the lady in The last few pictures resembles my mom and her hair and make up style. That really makes these hit home, I can't imagine how taboo it would have been for ladies like my mom to behave like this...wow
Diane,

How do you know that your mom did not behave that way? Those who did were not likely to talk about it to family. They kept their secrets.
