I guess that originally, it was thought that for those who are seeking connections, the "Real Person" label would confer legitimacy upon the bearer, but as you have noted, with a lot of fakes able to get verified, it kind of renders it moot.

I dont know how people get verified if they are not real. Didnt we all have to send photos with a message? So how did others do that? I must admit to prefering messages etc off 'real' people than someone with no avatar, un real and just joined.
