Fox News thumbs nose at Trump by exposing Kari Lake's 'not my president' post from 2017​


Fox News reported on Wednesday that a candidate endorsed by Donald Trump had promoted a message claiming he was not the president in 2017

According to the report, Arizona candidate for governor Kari Lake shared an "anti-Trump post" days before the then-president-elect's inauguration.


"Will you be protesting the inauguration? If so, which of these suggestions will you adopt? Will you boycott TV coverage? Wear black? Donate money the ACLU, NAACP or Planned Parenthood? Use the hashtag #NotMyPresident? Will you unfollow Donald Trump?" the post reportedly said.

Fox News reported that the post "disappeared" from Lake's Facebook account after she was asked for a comment.

In recent months, Lake has wrongly suggested that Trump won the 2020 election. She has vowed to get to the bottom of alleged election fraud if she becomes governor.

Utah police have released body-camera footage showing a Feb. 12 incident in which a 4-year-old shot at police officers at a McDonald's drive-thru in Midvale.

Officers with the Unified Police Department were responding to reports that a male suspect allegedly brandished a firearm at McDonald's employees due to an incorrect order around 1:30 p.m. local time, and, once officers arrived and began to detain 27-year-old Sadaat Johnson, a baby in the backseat of his vehicle fired a gun at the responders.

In the body-camera footage from the Unified Police Department released to FOX 13 Utah, officers can be heard telling two distraught children, ages 3 and 4, in the backseat of Johnson's vehicle, "It's okay," after one of the 4-year-old children fired a single shot.

Police initially detained Johnson after they asked him to exit his vehicle, and he refused to cooperate, according to a press release from the police department. Footage shows officers forcibly removing the suspect from the driver's seat and handcuffing him on the ground.

During that time, an officer noticed a gun pointing from a rear window of Johnson's vehicle, at which point he alerted other officers to the gun and pushed it "to the side as a round was fired," the press release states. He also alerted other officers that it was a "kid" who fired the weapon.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the 27-year-old instructed his baby to shoot at officers, police said.

Court records obtained by FOX 13 revealed that the baby shot at officers because "he wanted his daddy back."

"To have an adult think it is okay to encourage a [4]-year-old to pull a firearm and shoot at police illustrates how out of hand the campaign against police has gotten," Sheriff Rosie Rivera said in a February statement after the incident. "This needs to stop and we need to come together as a community to find solutions to the challenges we face in our neighborhoods. Officers are here to protect and serve and we are beyond belief that something like [this] could happen."

Conservatives Are as Obsessed as Ever With AOC, Claim She Was Somehow TOO Compliant During Arrest​


On Tuesday, 17 members of Congress (and at least 18 other people) were arrested during an abortion rights protest outside of the Supreme Court. But right-wing media and politicians are as obsessed as ever with just one of those protesters: Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

After Ocasio-Cortez’s arrest, right-wing “news” outlets couldn’t contain their glee at what they saw as a huge gotcha moment. Showing photos and videos of her being escorted away from the protest site by Capitol police officers, they focused in on the fact that she was walking most of the way with her hands behind her back. According to them, and to a number of Republican members of Congress, this was because she was pretending to be handcuffed.

Fox News has run multiple segments and articles accusing Ocasio-Cortez of “faking” being handcuffed. That take has also run in other mostly right-wing outlets from Newsweek to the NY Post to the Washington Times and many more. Many of the articles, segments, and tweets also accuse Rep. Ilhan Omar of doing the same thing. Some have even gone so far as to accuse the women of faking arrest entirely, mostly because they were not taken to jail but rather detained and photographed on the sidewalk. (To be clear, Capitol police explicitly used the word “arrests” for the process of detaining the congress members.)

Of course, no one was pretending to be handcuffed. As that right-wing commentator there even notes, both congresswomen were waving and raising fists in the air to supporters, in addition to walking with their hands behind their back at times.

And as AOC herself pointed out in a Twitter response she didn’t owe to anybody, there’s a very good reason to walk that way when being detained by the police. “Putting your hands behind your back is a best practice while detained, handcuffed or not, to avoid escalating charges like resisting arrest,” she wrote in a response to her Republican colleague Nancy Mace.

My dad had major surgery at VA hospitals twice with great results - course a lot of Docs that work at the VA hospitals around these parts also work out of prestigious hospitals in Boston. Ya prolly should get a second opinion - too bad ya didn’t try to schedule with your VA Doc sooner.

yeah i know...should have the VA sent me to private doc to have eyes checked he told me i needed surgery.....I though hell if this is as bad as it gets i can live with it

I have 2 friends that have cancelled all their insurance saving them money and just go strictly with VA.....one got stomache cancer and VA told him nothing they could do and offered to put him in a hospice....by chance he went and got a reguklar dr to look.......told him it could be fixed for x amount of dollars....had to take out a mortgage on his house...had surgery and now trying to get reimbursed from VA but not doing well......another friend in FL I served with ...had something wrong with Liver....never went to regular Dr because he had no insurance and he died a month or so ago

depends on where you live as to the quality of care in the VA.....I was told to go to Iowa and have VA look at my lungs....just haven't done it


this country never has taken care of it's vets nor it's seniors....but then that goes for homeless and healthcare and a lot of things.....richest country in the world....but all that wealth controlled by just a few.............and as long as they can convince so many to support them ....why should they part with any money

I do not begrudge anyone making money....everyone entitled to all they can make.....but if they helped those in need like used to be....instead of tax shelters and etc.....most their whole family could never in their lifetime spend all that money.....greed...it is the problem with america
