Just a heads up. We used to go to Jamaica every year, but have removed it from our destination list. Not sure if everyone is aware that the country has officially declared a State of Emergency, mainly due to violent crime. We used to stray outside the resorts often, but even those are not safe anymore. There have been some horrific attacks on tourists recently.

The US State Department advisory noted that "violent crimes, such as home invasions, armed robberies, sexual assaults and homicides, are common" and that "sexual assaults occur frequently," even at all-inclusive resorts.

Barbados is much safer.

Don’t believe everything you read. It is amazing here right now on Negril beach. Your loss. Jamaica mostly loves you. Safe as houses and we have travelled the island off grid on and off for 6 months. Get yourself there. The SOE applies to small pockets

We're looking for a Caribbean beach destination for February, Jamaica is the obvious frontunner but wanted to get other suggestions. If Jamaica will stay in Negril and hopefully we get our first bbc, but we're not ready to stay at Hedo yet. Have heard good things about the private boats etc, but wanting to see how we can finally make her first bbc happenView attachment 5682284View attachment 5682285.
You should just take a BBC with you so you don’t have to find one. I’ll volunteer.

Obviously you have made your choice. Just because most people might be unaffected doesn't mean it is safe. You may be okay with higher risk areas, but those State Department warnings are not to be taken lightly. Ten years ago I would have went. Not anymore. Stay safe.

May I ask: have you been in the Caribbean last months and if could you Turn your fantasy into reality?

its ok if you have made a decision... there is violent crime everywhere! don't try to ruin it for others, there is good and bad everywhere.. my advise for everyone everywhere is BE SAFE, BE CAUTIOUS, BE SMART!

that's all!
LOL. When the US State Department issues warnings, then you should take notice. Most people with a brain pay attention to them.

THAT'S ALL!

Again.. if you have made your decision we respect it... allow others to make their own choices without your constant scaremongering...

As we speak i am working on a production here in Kingston with more than 250 foreigners since November of last year, in and out of some of the most dangerous garrisons on the island... and we haven't had a single issue or instance of anything grievous, violent or aggressive yet (that is if you excuse the occasional aggressive and/or violent assault on some white woman's pussy)…

so u just stay over there and let the free thinking people who want to enjoy their life do so...

respectfully
Thank you so much for your unbiased information....
