Why do some people choose to not get verified?

I know that this question has been asked before but I wanted to reopen the topic and try to have a legitimate discussion about the topic. Hopefully it will include some people who have chosen to not become verified. So here is my question, I have seen many profiles here that feature very active members. They have pics, videos, participate in forums, and for many, have been members for quite some time. The interesting thing is that quite a few of these profiles are not verified. So I am genuinely curious, if you fit this description, why have you chosen to not get verified? To be clear, I'm really not asking this to hear different theories from those who are verified speaking on why people don't. We have done that plenty around here. I'm really hoping to hear from those who have elected not to.

Basically we don't as pushback. My husband ranted at me a bit about the verification requirements here, and he wasn't wrong. I don't know of a single other site that requires video verification, and don't want to encourage that as an expectation. We are active in this lifestyle and on this and other sites, there are other members here who I have played with, and the site owners have our credit card info. That is more than enough to prove I am a, "real person."

Tl/dr - fuck right off with that verification method.

We both work in education and I know we won’t be showing our faces in the verification but it feels like someone we know might recognise us in a video rather than a photo in which we hide our faces. I know none of this sounds rational but I would hate the idea of one of the clients at a college say to me I saw your video on b&w.

Sounds completely rational to me... Just for the record video verification is not required on this site...Obviously. Just an option that affords a member somewhat more credibility...

I can understand this. It makes perfect sense. However, in this instance I'm referring to members who already have a bunch of pics/videos, some even showing their faces but who choose not to be verified.

But the whole idea of verification is to boost your credentials towards other members of this forum so that they know that for real you are a woman/couple or black man. It’s not about the ‘wicked’ website imposing their draconian rules on the poor hapless couple. Many social media sites, and especially ones with a sexual interest, are choka block filled with fakes of every kind, some with malacious intent. Like black mailing ! It’s all about increasing the trust level, so that women can take that first step to have that wonderful sexual experience or even just chat so she can better acquaint herself with this world.

If I was a woman I would avoid unverified profiles like the plague. And I would certainly verify myself.
As for me ? I’m just a white boi, this website doesn’t allow me to be verified ! I tried several times.

I dont believe that verification will garner more sexual opportunities on this or any other site. Basically its just an extra step... toward more nothing.

I fit this mostly, but not the pics/vid part. I have had enough weirdness occurring with pics of me getting photoshopped and all that. I even have the "honor" of having someone else's face put on my body. It's just not worth it. My profile pic is from when I was 26 and does not show any more than my swimsuit.

I don't verify because I do not want the extra attention I feel it will bring. I don't want to meet anyone new. I'm just on here to share a bit of my antics over the years. If you like me unverified as I am, great. If not, that is fine too. I have talked to many great people here, so it works for me.

I was introduced to this site by a BBC I met on another website and came here to enjoy the forums and content, not necessarily to meet men. I've been on here a long time and actually tried to do the verify process several years ago and it was a pain lol. I haven't tried in years and probably won't.

I'm not getting any younger over here and at this point , if I am looking for fun I would rather reach out to someone I know or meet in person than have to do the whole "I'm old and fluffy" disclaimers on line and go to the effort of pics and getting to know someone. At least in person, if I am approached they are already expressing interest and it's easier for me to instantly know if I am also interested in them.

Over the years, I have connected with a couple of amazing gentlemen I have met here. My lack of being verified was never an issue and I just don't see it as necessary.

Because of my career I don't get verified because I don't post my picture anywhere. Other women in my profession have gotten stupid and posted pictures. They have been stolen etc and ultimately they have lost their jobs. I have been at my current job for too many years and my pay is too high to loose it and have to take a big step back in pay at another employer.

It's just not worth it.

We are also thinking permanently about this step of verification.
It is part of the forum and we clearly see the benefits which come with that step.

On the other side, it's the last boundary of self-protection. With such a video (despite its without face), you reveal everthing about yourself and there is no discussion afterwards who you are. The risk of getting identified from another person is rather small here but it's not 0%. And as lot of people are doing all this secretly and discrete, it is fully understandable why they don't do this step. For people who are open with their sexuality, of course it's not a problem.
And yes, a lot of people do have pictures here but, you have the last chance of pretending someone stole ur pics if you got identified by any one from your real life.
Thats our point of view.

At the end of the day it’s about privacy …we are real , have a regular , at times do some extreme stuff ..but …I don’t feel the need to have to prove it to every person who comes along ..I don’t troll people, post fake *******, buy into some of the weird theories people have on certain aspects of all of this and chat or comment with responses that are usually relevant

I did so on another sight, big mistake. Too much personal information given, the sight got hacked and everything we were assured would remain private was no longer private. The sight didn't notify of theft of personnel information that lead to over six months of the stalker from hell. Law enforcement local and federal were no help at first because i had given out my information. A big mistake according to them and the guy made no personal threats of violence. They finally got interested when he sent photos taken of a bridge on our property. Trespass with reason to believe he might do harm. They got him in short order but He had not hacked the sight, He bought the information. His first offense so the judge gave him probation and he was to stay off internet for a year. A joke he bought a used tablet and used free WiFi at a fast food place and continued . I got a call that he had been picked up again and was serving a two year stretch for violating parole. Verification on the net is worthless in my opinion. You can ghost your location and pick a name. The most harmful people i believe would do that. I've been on this sight nearly ten years. In the beginning met more than a few nice legitimate people and of course scammers. There was no verification. From reading the posts complaining i assume there are more scammers now, or maybe people just didn't complain as much before .
