In Canada, the adult female population under 45 is 5.5m. There are about 750,000 female nurses and teachers. So there is around a 14% chance of meeting a female teacher or nurse in the street. I expect other developed countries are similar. They might be a bit over represented here, but not much.

A doctor friend once told me that nurses are the biggest freaks because they are not phased by the human body. They've seen every part of it and are not freaked out by sexual organs. That's why they have a very blase attitude to sexuality. Also, they work in very high stress jobs, and that causes them to need a release when off duty.
As for teachers, I think they are so sexual because they have a very conservative and restrictive job. Being a teacher is all about staying in control and maintaining an image of being professional. So, my theory is that when they are in their personal lives, they want to let loose.
My wife is a primary teacher, now she just needs convincing
