While he was at the store it was being updated from VHS to DVD, and his boss let him take home a 3 foot square box of those loops you referred to, not sure if they were 8 or Super 8, whatever the actual arcades used back then, but we moved seven years ago and I haven’t seen them since. That doesn’t mean we still don’t have them, there’s still boxes in storage I haven’t explored yet, I haven’t seen my favorite bathrode since we moved either, but our last apartment was totally empty when we left, so,,,
P.S. My hub says back then 99% of those loops were silent, he said all you heard was the ticking sound of the projector, and the occasional grunt, LOL. He says to this day, like a certain smell, or a particular song brings you back in time, every time he sees and hears a flickering projector these days come to mind,,,kind of a perverts nostalgia I guess,,,LOL
