UNCIRCUMCISED MEN ARE BETTER LOVERS.

Most white males in North America are circumcised. This is as barbaric as Female circumcision in parts of Africa and the Middle East. Both are designed for sexual repression by religious dictators. The practice makes the circumcised individual subservient and obedient.
Isn't that just like a cuc?

The International Journal of Epidemiology investigated possible links between male circumcision and various metrics of the quality of one's sex life (for both men and women). Prior to delving into the study, I'd like to briefly cover a few issues dealing with male circumcision. The topic is a highly contentious one in that some view it as a religiously mandated ritual (e.g., Jews and Moslems) while others construe it as barbaric act of genital ******* that has no place in modern society. I should mention that one of my fellow PT bloggers, Dr. Darcia Narvaez, has recently posted a series of articles critical of male circumcision (see here for one such post). Also, some readers might remember the anti-circumcision activist group that sought recently to have residents of San Francisco vote on whether male circumcision should be banned within the city's limits. A judge has since decided that this measure had to be removed from the ballot (see here).

Notwithstanding the divine explanation for male circumcision, are there more "earthly" explanations to explain such a ritual? Evolutionary scientists have indeed proposed a highly plausible argument to explain the prevalence of this ritual across several cultural and religious traditions. The argument utilizes a principle in biology known as costly signaling, namely in order for a signal to be an honest one it needs to be costly (otherwise dupers could imitate it easily; think of the burdensome tail of the peacock). In the context of male circumcision, this is a highly costly signal to demonstrate one's allegiance and belongingness to a group (cf. Sosis, 2004). Having your *******'s genitalia surgically altered is a highly honest signal of your commitment to the group. To all parents who've had their eight-day old ******* go through the procedure, you would likely agree with the veracity of this theory!

Returning to the study to be discussed in today's post, Morten Frisch, Morten Lindholm, and Morten Grønbæk (how often does it happen that the three authors of a paper share the same first name!?) administered a large survey to Danish individuals (n = 5,552) to investigate the link between male circumcision and various aspects of their sex lives (e.g., number of lifetime sexual partners, lack of sexual desire, difficulty achieving orgasm, pain during intercourse, etc.). The results were then compared for the circumcised and uncircumcised men, as well as for women who had long-term partners who were either circumcised or not. Here are the key statistically significant findings:

Men's data

Number of reported sexual partners: greater for circumcised men (38% reported having ten or more partners versus 28% for uncircumcised men)

Frequency of orgasm difficulties: greater for circumcised men (almost three times as much; 11% for the circumcised versus 4% for the uncircumcised) Seems the circumcision destroys a lot of nerve endings, the remaining skin is more dry and less sensitive later on in life, and the natural lubrication of the foreskin is absent. The initial intent of circumcision was to curb masterbation, which never worked but just made it less pleasurable.
The foreskin also is a natural lube for penetrating small orifices. BBC ROCKS!!

Women's data

Frequency of incomplete sexual needs fulfillment: Greater for women with circumcised men (38%) as compared to those with uncircumcised men (28%)

Frequency of orgasm difficulties: Greater for women with circumcised men (19%) as compared to those with uncircumcised men (14%)

Dyspareunia (pain during intercourse): Greater for women with circumcised men (12%) as compared to those with uncircumcised men (3%)

The authors provided few physiological-based explanations for the findings other than the fact that circumcision reduces penile sensitivity (and hence might explain the greater difficulty of circumcised men to achieve orgasm).

Bottom line: Based on this study, it would appear that for some men and women, male circumcisions are a hindrance to sexual pleasure.

There's a lot of difference between what they do in Africa & the Middle East to females and what they do to white American males, Marg ...
.....For one, the removal of the foreskin on a male increases sexual sensitivities not suppress them. In fact, if nothing else, it exposes the penis glands to create PME. Two, circumcision makes male hygiene a lot easier and efficient to avoid diseases and transference of diseases. And three, most women (and there are plenty of studies that support this) prefer the circumcised male because it is less likely to have the pungent odor of waste material that often gets trapped under the foreskin of the uncircumcised male. Most women, when asked about giving oral sex, admit circumcised is much more enjoyable for oral sex.
.....Its not the least bit barbaric as it was even 25-30 years ago ... its done within a matter of seconds; we were with our ******* when he had his, and they gave him a numbing application to do it. That said, I personally would prefer giving every male his own option as to whether he gets circumcised or not ... my wife & I come from very religious families, however, and we kind of followed protocol of our faiths.
....As far as female circumcisions in Africa & the Middle East, at least my understanding is that they're not only removing the sheath or hood covering the clitoris, but removing the clitoris or gland itself to ******* the woman's sensitivities to sex ... THAT is *******. Its about the same as removal of the crown of the penis where the majority of sensitive glands are located.

Good you realize... "where the majority of the sensitive glands are located." in your very last sentance. The foreskin is very sensitive and provides lubrication, almost like a bearing as it slides back and forth for the enjoyment of both partners. The foreskin also protects the glands keeping them more sensitive to sexual stimulation, unlike the calloused cut penis...it is like wearing a condom and if you do wear one on a cut penis your sensitivity is twice diminished. Anal sex is much easier with an uncut penis. Religious zealots thought it would make it harder to masterbate if the foreskin was removed, it just made it less pleasurable. This was not God's idea, but man's. God gave sex as a gift and not to ******* it.
Today with modern plumbing, hygene should not be a problem, unless the man is an oinker.
It is no different than me keeping my pussy hygenic. Nobody likes a pussy that stinks either.

Whatever ... what should I know, I'm just a circumcised, white guy with a "twice diminished numb" penis, right?

Foreskin Sexual Function/Circumcision Sexual Dysfunction
The human foreskin is highly innervated,5 21 29 and vascularized29 sensitive erogenous tissue.6 29 It plays an important role in normal human sexual response and is necessary for normal copulatory behavior.40 An understanding of this role is now emerging in the scientific literature. Removal of the foreskin (circumcision) interferes with normal sexual function.

This page brings together, in one place, scattered material relevant to the study of the role of the foreskin in human sexuality, and the dysfunction caused by its amputation.

Summary of the literature
Protection. The foreskin in the adult male either partially or completely covers the glans penis.40 The foreskin protects the glans penis from friction and from dryness.28 The foreskin maintains the sub-preputial space in a state of wetness with prostatic, vesicular and urethral secretions.17 The glans penis is covered with mucosa, not skin, so the wetness is essential for optimum health. There may be a correlation between wetness and sensitivity. Removal of the prepuce by circumcision results in a change in the appearance of the glans penis. The color tends to change from a red-purple to a light pink in caucausians and the texture changes from a glossy finish to a matte finish and becomes dull rather than shiny. Some believe that the epithelium of the glans thickens after removal of the foreskin to provide additional layers of protection and that this keratinization deadens sensation.10 Morgan (1965) said, "Removal of the prepuce exposes the glans to foreign stimuli which dull these special receptors.11 Bigelow (1994) observed that improvement in glanular sensitivity is the most frequently reported outcome of foreskin restoration.26 Pertot (1994) reports that the glans becomes softer after foreskin restoration.27 These older papers do not recognize the sensitivity of the foreskin itself.

Some doctors who are associated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University have carried out measurements of glanular sensitivity in both circumcised and intact males.53 54 Bleustein et al. (2003) claimed to measure overall penile sensitivity, but their methodology made that impossible. Even though the high innervation,6 21 2940 the sensitivity,12 39 51 and the erogenous nature,6 of the foreskin had been reported previously, the foreskin inexplicably was not tested. The foreskin was held back out of the way53 54 and the contribution of the foreskin to overall penile sensitivity was not determined. Their studies reported little difference in glanular sensitivity between circumcised and intact males.53 54 If that is the case, then the decrease in penile sensitivity after circumcision and the increase noted after foreskin restoration must lie elsewhere.57 The most likely location is in the foreskin.57 Denniston reported loss of sexual pleasure in a survey of males circumcised in adulthood.61 The most recent study finds that the intact penis is about four times more sensitive than the circumcised penis.67

Mechanical function. The foreskin provides mechanical functions to facilitate intromission and penetration. Several authorities observe that the penis enters the vagina without friction as the foreskin unfolds.4 9 10 11 Taves (2002) reported that excision of the foreskin by circumcision increases the ******* required to penetrate by ten-fold.51 Shen et al.reported 43.1 percent of men cirumcised as adults experience difficult penetration.59 After penetration, the foreskin provides a gliding action that greatly reduces friction,4 9 11 15 41 49and vaginal dryness.27 40 50 55

Elasticity. The foreskin has a layer of smooth muscle tissue called the peripenic muscle,1 which is part of the dartos muscle.1 39 The contraction and expansion of the muscle fibers in this layer give the foreskin great elasticity and are important in erogenous sensation. Lakshmanan & Prakash report a "mosaic of muscle tissues and elastic fibres" contained between the two layers of the foreskin, which keep the foreskin snugly against in the glans penis in a close fit.15 The muscle fibres must stretch to allow the foreskin to retract over the glans and contract again when the foreskin returns to its normal forward position. The expansion and contraction of the muscle fibres during coitus allows the foreskin to stretch. The stretching deformes the Meissner corpuscles and produces sensation.68 The nerve bundles run alongside the dartos muscle.40 The stretching puts tension on the nerve endings contained within the foreskin. The nerve endings deform and generate pleasurable erotic sensations to the central nervous system and inputs to the autonomic nervous system, which plays a role in controlling erection and ejaculation.57 68 Taylor (2003) reports preliminary evidence that stretching of the foreskin produces contractions associated with ejaculation.58 Taylor reports that the ridged band of the foreskin is reflexogenic and produces contractions that result in ejaculation.68

Erogenous tissue. the foreskin is heavily innervated even at birth and before.5 21 The foreskin is a specific erogenous zone6 with nerve endings near the surface of the ridged band arranged in rete ridges.29 The foreskin is noted for its sensory pleasure.12 36 51 Circumcision, therefore, diminishes sexual sensation.6 9 10 11 12 18 28 31 38 57 59 62 63 64

Impotence and sexual dysfunction. The nerves in the foreskin apparently provide an impulse to aid erection. Circumcision has long been associated with an increased incidence of impotence. Glover (1929) reported a case.2Winkelmann (1959) suggested impotence as a possibility,6 as did Foley (1966).10 Stinson (1973) reported five cases.13Palmer & Link (1979) reported two cases.14 More recently, additional evidence of sexual dysfunction after circumcision has emerged. Coursey et al. reported that the degradation in sexual function after circumcision is equivalent to the degradation experienced after anterior urethroplasty.47 Fink et al. reported statistically significant degradation in sexual function.49 A survey carried out in South Korea found that circumcised men reported painful erections, and diminished sexual pleasure, and a few reported curvature of the penis upon erection.48 Shen et al. (2004), in a study carried out in China, reported erectile dysfunction in 28.4 percent of the men in the study after circumcision, and 'weakened erectile confidence' in 34.7 percent.59

Premature ejaculation. Lakshmanan & Prakash (1980) report that the foreskin impinges against the corona glandis during coitus.15 The foreskin, therefore, tends to protect the corona glandis from direct stimulation by the vagina of the female partner during coitus. The corona is the most highly innervated part of the glans penis.19 Zwang argues that removal of the foreskin allows direct stimulation of the corona glandis and this may cause premature ejaculation in some males.32 O'Hara & O'Hara (1999) report more premature ejaculation in circumcised male partners.41 The presence of the foreskin, therefore, may make it easier to avoid premature ejaculation, while its absence would make it more difficult to avoid premature ejaculation. Masood et al. report that circumcision is more likely to worsen premature ejaculation than improve it.64 The Australian Study of Health and Relationships found that "26% of circumcised men but 22% of uncircumcised men reported reaching orgasm too quickly for at least one month in the previous year."65 Kim & Pang (2006) reported decreased ejaculation latency time in circumcised men but the decrease was not considered statistically significant.66

Inability to ejaculate or delayed ejaculation. While some circumcised males may suffer from a tendency toward premature ejaculation, others find that they have great difficulty in ejaculating.50 The nerves in the foreskin and ridged band are stimulated by stretching,18 57 amongst other movements. If those nerves are not present, Money (1983) argues that excision of these stretch receptors by circumcision may make ejaculation take longer.18. Some circumcised males may have to resort to prolonged and aggressive thrusting to achieve orgasm.40 49 Shen et al. (2004) reported that 32.6 percent of the men in his study reported prolonged intercourse after circumcision.59 Senkul et al. (2004) reported an appreciable increase in ejaculatory latency time (time to ejaculate).60 Thorvaldsen & Meyhoff (2005) reported that circumcised males have more difficulty with ejaculation and orgasm.63 Kim & Pang (2006) reported that circumcised men have more difficulty with masturbation.66 Solinis & Yiannaki reported that 65 percent of circumcised men in their study reported increased ejaculation time in their study.69

Loss of sexual pleasure. Denniston reported that some circumcised men would not have the operation again because of loss of sexual pleasure.61 Kim & Pang (2006) reported that 48 percent of Korean men in a survey experienced loss of mastubatory pleasure after circumcision as compared with 8 percent that experienced increased pleasure and 8 percent reported improved sexual life, but 20 percent reported worsened sexual life.66 Solinis & Yiannaki reported that 16 percent of the men in their study reported a better sex life after circumcision but 35 percent reported a worsened sex life.69

Sexual behaviour. The alteration to the sexual organ causes many circumcised males to change their sexual behavior. Foley reported that circumcised males are more likely to masturbate.10 Hooykaas et al. (1991) reported that immigrant (mostly circumcised) males have a greater tendency to engage in risky sexual behavior with prostitutes as compared with Dutch (mostly normal intact) males.23 The U. S. National Health and Social Life Survey found that circumcised males have a "more elaborated" set of sexual practices, including more masturbation, and more heterosexual oral sex.30 The British National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles (2000) reported that circumcised males were more likely to report having a homosexual partner and more likely to have partners from abroad as compared with normal intact males.56 Circumcised men are significantly less likely to use condoms.38 50 Many men in the Solinis and Yiannaki study reported decreased sex life after circumcision.69

Value to female partners. The foreskin has long been known to be valuable to the female partner.8 16 The presence of the foreskin is reported to be stimulating to the female.41 45 55 Women are more likely to experience vaginal dryness during sex with a circumcised partner.24 28 62 The unnatural dryness may make coitus painful and result in abrasions.28 41 50 The vaginal dryness may be mistakenly attributed to female arousal disorder.55 62 O'Hara & O'Hara report that the female partner is less likely to experience orgasm when the foreskin is not present and more likely to experience orgasm or even multiple orgasms when the foreskin is present.41

Recent studies. Solinis & Yiannaki (2007) found that 46 percent of men in their study reported a worsened sex life for their partner while 33 percent reported that that their partner's sex life had improved.69

Frisch et al. (2011) studied the effects of circumcision among Danish people and reported:

"Circumcision was associated with frequent orgasm difficulties in Danish men and with a range of frequent sexual difficulties in women, notably orgasm difficulties, dyspareunia and a sense of incomplete sexual needs fulfilment."70
Podnar compared the ability to elicit bulbo-cavernosus contractions (that cause ejaculation) in circumcised and non-circumcised men. He was not able to elicit the contraction in 8 percent of foreskinned men, however in circumcised men he could not elicit contractions in 73 percent. Among men with permanently retracted foreskins, he could not elicit contractions in 64 percent..71

Bronselaer et al. (2013) carried out a large study in Belgium to measure comparative penile sensation. Circumcised men experienced decreased sexual pleasure and lower orgasm intensity as compared with non-circumcised men. Circumcised men reported more pain, discomfort, numbness, and unusual sensations..72

The evidence of harm to sexual pleasure and function of both the male and his female partner caused by male circumcision is now conclusive and irrefutable.

Regardless of the history, scientific research, "belonging to a group", and all the other crap, I think that when a male baby comes into the world he should leave the world with his foreskin intact, unless he chooses to have it removed, ah, yeah, and yes THAT is what makes the act "barbaric" in the first place, the ******* male baby does not have a voice in the discussion but cries of discomfort.

Thanks, illogical ancestors!

By the way, I am actually uncut and LOVE when women play with my foreskin, and they enjoy it too!

So much joy for both males and females denied because of some religious zealot professes it would keep their minds CLEAN of unpure thoughts if we circumcise them, both male and female.
The real God gave us sex as a gift to enjoy, and not ******* what he gave us.
This has to stop!

THE GUIDE OF THE PERPLEXED by Moses Maimonides, translated by Shlomo Pines. University of Chicago, 1963.

Part III, Chapter 33
To the totality of purposes of the perfect Law there belong the abandonment, depreciation, and restraint of desires in so far as possible. You know already that most of the lusts and licentiousness of the multitude consist in an appetite for eating, drinking and sexual intercourse.

To the totality of intentions of the Law there belong gentleness and docility; man should not be hard and rough, but responsive, obedient, acquiescent, and docile. You know already His commandment... "Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. Be silent, and hearken, O Israel. If ye be willing and obedient."

Part III, Chapter 49
Page 609:

Similarly with regard to circumcision, one of the reasons for it is, in my opinion, the wish to bring about a decrease in sexual intercourse and a weakening of the organ in question, so that this activity be diminished and the organ be in as quiet a state as possible. It has been thought that circumcision perfects what is defective congenitally. This gave the possibility to everyone to raise an objection and to say: How can natural things be defective so that they need to be perfected from outside, all the more because we know how useful the foreskin is for that member? In fact this commandment has not been prescribed with a view to perfecting what is defective congenitally, but to perfecting what is defective morally. The bodily pain caused to that member is the real purpose of circumcision. None of the activities necessary for the preservation of the individual is harmed thereby, nor is procreation rendered impossible, but violent concupiscence and lust that goes beyond what is needed are diminished. The fact that circumcision weakens the faculty of sexual excitement and sometimes perhaps diminishes the pleasure is indubitable. For if at birth this member has been made to ******* and has had its covering taken away from it, it must indubitably be weakened. The Sages, may their memory be blessed, have explicitly stated: It is hard for a woman with whom an uncircumcised man has had sexual intercourse to separate from him. In my opinion this is the strongest of the reasons for circumcision.

Pages 609-610:

According to me circumcision has another very important meaning, namely, that all people professing this opinion-that is, those who believe in the unity of God-should have a bodily sign uniting them so that one who does not belong to them should not be able to claim that he was one of them, while being a stranger. For he would do this in order to profit by them or to deceive the people who profess this religion. Now a man does not perform this act upon himself or upon a ******* of his unless it be in consequence of a genuine belief. For it is not like an incision in the leg or a burn in the arm, but is a very, very hard thing.

It is also well known what degree of mutual love and mutual help exists between people who all bear the same sign, which forms for them a sort of covenant and alliance.Circumcision is a covenant made by Abraham our ******* with a view to the belief in the unity of God. Thus everyone who is circumcised joins Abraham's covenant. This covenant imposes the obligation to believe in the unity of God: To be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee. This also is a strong reason, as strong as the first, which may be adduced to account for circumcision; perhaps it is even stronger than the first.

The perfection and perpetuation of this Law can only be achieved if circumcision is performed in childhood. For this there are three wise reasons. The first is that if the baby were let alone until he grew up, he would sometimes not perform it. The second is that a baby does not suffer as much pain as a grown-up man because his membrane is still soft and his imagination weak; for a grown-up man would regard the thing, which he would imagine before it occurred, as terrible and hard. The third is that the parents of a baby that is just born take lightly matters concerning it, for up to that time the imaginative form that compels the parents to love it is not yet consolidated. For this imaginative form increases through habitual contact and grows with the growth of the baby. Then it begins to decrease and to disappear, I refer to this imaginative form. For the love of the ******* and of the mom for the baby when it has just been born is not like their love for it when it is one year old, and their love for it when it is one year old is not like their love when it is six years old. Consequently if it were left uncircumcised for two or three years, this would necessitate the abandonment of circumcision because of the *******'s love and affection for it. At the time of its birth, on the other hand, this imaginative form is very weak, especially as far as concerns the ******* upon whom this commandment is imposed.

Page 611:

The fact that circumcision is performed on the eighth day is due to the circumstance that all living beings are very weak and exceedingly tender when they are born, as if they were still in the womb. This is so until seven days are past. It is only then that they are counted among those who have contact with the air. Do you not see that this point is also taken into account with regard to beasts ?—Seven days shall it be with its dam, and so on. It is as if before that period it were an abortion. Similarly with regard to man; he is circumcised after seven days have passed. In this way the matter is fixed: You do not make out of it something that varies.

This class of commandments also includes the prohibition against mutilating the sexual organs of all the males of animals, which is based on the principle of righteous statutes and judgments, I mean the principle of keeping the mean in all matters; sexual intercourse should neither be excessively indulged, as we have mentioned, nor wholly abolished. Did He not command and say: Be fruitful and multiply? Accordingly this organ is weakened by means of circumcision, but not extirpated through excision. What is natural is left according to nature, but measures are taken against excess. He that is wounded in the stones or hath his privy member cut off is forbidden to marry a woman of Israel, for such cohabitation would be perverted and aimless. Such a marriage would likewise be a stumbling block for the woman and for him who seeks her out. This is very clear.

The foreskin has the most erogenous tissue on the penis, which when remove leaves the penis reduced sexual function.

circumcision is *******
That second pic is not a pic of a circumcised penis, Marg ... that's a pic of a penectomy or total removal of a penis. More common where you have males making the total conversion of male to female or medical necessity like cancer. IF that IS a pic of a circumcision, that is the WORST circumcision ever done ... doctor must of been near-sighted or something.

Tumbukas in Rumphi resist circumcision as Thyolo men cut foreskins en masse
by Tiwonge Kumwenda- Nyasa Times

Health officials in Rumphi have described religious and cultural beliefs as a set back to Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) program in the district as men as refusing to cut their foreskins, saying VMMC is not in line with Tumbuka culture and that it part of Islamic belief not Christian.

Rumphi nutrition and HIV/Aids officer, Blessings Kanyangale said the development has made the hospital to reduce their target.

“Circumcision is being regarded as sin to the Tumbuka culture. Some men also said it is against their religious belief but suitable for Muslims. Men are shunning circumcision because of these two things,” said Kanyangale.

“Imagine, in 2013 we planned to circumcise 2, 569 across the district but out of the figure only 914 men were circumcised. So, for the year 2017-2018 we reduced the figure,” he disclosed.

Exective Director for National Aids Commission (NAC), Davie Kalomba said the trend is not strange because circumcision is a new phenomenon in some cultures but ask the hospital to organize mass sensitization campaign.
