In the early days, the tenets of white inferiority were the main focus of the movement. This helped solidify a relationship between Black and brown people to “restore the Natural Order,” as the movement’s leaders would say.
Every night on TV and 24/7 on social media -- all media now operated under new government regulations about what content was legal -- whites and their racist past were humiliated, criticized and shamed. The message spread through the culture, from school curricula to corporations to movies, was that whiteness was an inherent flaw. It could not be ignored or truly corrected. Any attempt to question or resist this concept was an example of flawed whiteness. White privilege would question attempts to discredit their inherent sense of entitlement and superiority. So much social, economic, environmental and human harm had come from this flawed concept.
The Empire’s leaders promoted an official policy of pity -- that whites naturally were inferior because of this flaw and could be redeemed only through their surrender to re-education, control and guidance from Black superiors. As dissenting ideas lost their platform in the public sphere, surveys showed the population gradually began to embrace what the movement’s leaders called “the Truth,” even as resistant whites claimed the polls were rigged by the government, media and collaborating whites.
At first, pilot programs started in cities and states. Officials passed laws severely restricting white speech and behavior. The old police departments had been eliminated and replaced as “Security Corps” -- the officers now called “Peacekeepers.” They now spent a great deal of resources monitoring whites and enforcing the tougher rules. Reports of racial insensitivity or transgression were quickly prosecuted. The white typically would be assigned to a “racial reconciliation” program. These sessions happened in deep secrecy, and the white offender usually left the program as a true believer in the Empire’s goals.
The diminishing share of the white population could not stop the changes, all ushered in by Black and brown voters, who saw all of the positive stories on the evening news. In every city, a parade of reformed whites looked in the camera to confess their inferiority, celebrate Black superiority and pledge to restore the Natural Order. For the Black majority, it was OK -- even expected -- to embrace the idea that whites were inferior and their system of society was inferior. The new leadership successfully indoctrinated most parts of society that the Empire was finally doing what was necessary to set things right.
Naturally, some Black and brown people held onto the old ideas of racial equality. Those views almost never made it into the Empire-controlled media, which was tightly focused on its messages of indoctrination. These dissenters were marginalized almost into oblivion.
There was a strong white resistance, especially in suburban and rural areas. When whites returned to their homes from “racial reconciliation” camps, they were changed deeply. They wore white spandex bodysuits -- the uniform they received during their time in the camp. Resistant whites were deeply offended to see the converted fellow whites in the humiliating, skin-tight suits. The “re-educated” whites would return to their suburban neighborhoods, take down the U.S. flag in their home and raise an Empire flag. They would be seen kneeling in front of it.
Many of these reformed whites were targeted by the white resistance -- subject to taunts of being a “white traitor” or even attacked violently. Many Blacks offered to take these whites into their homes in the city -- essentially enslaving them and consolidating power in the urban areas.
A significant number of whites were influenced by the broader indoctrination and formed a political party -- the Voluntary Enslavement Party -- which gave compliant whites a way to hasten what once was unthinkable. Life as a “free” white had become so unbearable, it would be better to submit to enslavement by their Superiors.
Early on, whites tried to challenge many of the laws in courts -- but Black judges largely disregarded the Constitution. A new document based on the Empire’s tenets superseded the Constitution, which now was derided as an artifact of white control, along with so many other pieces of literature, art and music.
As the Empire gained control over more areas, the leadership started to begin the final step in total control -- wealth transfer. A national reparation tax passed unanimously in the new Congress of the People. Whites who were unable to pay the exorbitant taxes would have to surrender control of their possessions to the Empire for redistribution -- and submit to “national service,” a euphemism for enslavement.
The Empire’s leaders knew from the start that control of the school system was crucial for total control. It would seek to indoctrinate the young quietly, building a strong bond with Empire ideas and personal bonds with Superiors.
They all were completing the newly "revised" classes -- U.S. History, World Civilization, Biology, Anthropology -- and the newly required ones -- Racial Studies, Inferior Ethics, Empire Civics. The Empire knew how important it was to indoctrinate the students properly to ensure a stable future of compliant whites. They also knew the indoctrination of students would drive a wedge in the white family, alienating them from their resistant white parents.
