Question for the ladies OF ALL ages: To the best of your recollection, when did you start to shave down there, and why

It’s been a question I’ve asked for years to dozens of women (when appropriate😂) but never had the ability to reach out to so many women of different ages, backgrounds, races, nationalities, etcetera etcetera etcetera.
Ladies, if you will, indulge me. Be so kind as to give a brief history of yourself age range (being respectful) age you started shaving, why you started… media, porn, boyfriend, or other, shaving preference….bald, trimmed , military (all off the lower little on the top) , designs ( landing strip, heart, lightning bolt, etc.) and why.
Reason for asking. I grew up on the cusp of magazine porn vs. internet porn. Men my age most likely found a stash of old playboys either belonging to dad😂😂😂, or a family member or a stash found in the woods. Guys you know what I mean. With that being said, I grew up with the understanding that the second you feel that pubic hair, it’s like finding the Holy Grail.
Spring forward 30+ years, from a narcissistic perspective it perplexes me that some women choose to go full Brazilian. Again this is just something that has always been on the back of my mind for no freaking reason lol.

My wife is now in her mid 30s. She told me she started shaving when she was around 15, as most other girls in her class did that as well and they would see each other after PE classes. Also, at that time thongs became popular, but as they don't cover a full bush, there was the need to shave and hence she decided to shave everything. So, when we got a relationship she was always fully shaved, and initially it stayed that way after our marriage as well. But when we decided to our cuckold relationship, it took a few months before she met her current long time lover. He told her he preferred a full bush, so she stopped shaving for him and hasn't shaved or trimmed her pussy ever since she was in her late 20s. I understand that but to see my wife in her late 20s with a full bush was still weird. And it still is, even now she's in her mid 30s. It made her pussy look much older than her age, as I associate a full untrimmed bush with older women, let's say 50 and up.

I can understand pubic hair can be attractive, and create a more mature look. But a full untrimmed bush simply is quite a lot of hair to deal with, especially because the majority of our sex life consists of me giving her oral. My wife never had a landing strip, but I would like that look as well. It looks so much more maintained. I would already be happy if she would decide to just shave her lips! I have suggested both options as a kind of compromise between her lover's preference and my preference, but she wants to give him what he likes, so she didn't want to shave or trim anything.

Are you willing to shave also, some women don't like pubic hair in there mouth when going down on them. What's fair is fair.

I do shave fully! That's what she prefers for me, and she doesn't even go down on me anyway. It's just that for her own pubic hair, she finds her lover's preference more important than mine, and therefore she doesn't shave or trim.

There are guys who like a bush, everyone is entitled to their own preferences. I can understand some like a more mature look. To each their own. But personally, I don't enjoy getting a mouthful of hair when I eat out my wife, and I think a big untrimmed messy bush isn't the prettiest sight.

I'm from a country where most women are shaven as well, my wife is more an exception especially because she keeps it fully natural. Anything to please her lover!

That makes sense. Also completely plausible, especially considering her age, as I feel that by the 90’s-2000’s it was pretty mainstream. Even still I’m wondering where or how the first girl in your wife’s class of PE (for example) where did she get the idea? Older sister, mom, aunt, if so did they tell them to shave the whole thing? Or just the bottom 1/2? Or was she a sexually curious young woman watching porn super early? So I'm talking here about the early 2000s and my girlfriend noticed that more and more classmates were wearing thongs and shaving their pussies.
