It was the digital camera of the 60's, 70's and 80's. Just point and shoot and in approximately 3 minutes you possessed an image frozen in time. No need to wait to have it developed like a 35mm film, or deal with the embarrassing ordeal of the developer viewing it's content. It was a revolutionary invention in photography. Over the years, thousands of pictures if not millions sit in dusty photo albums or hidden shoe boxes begging to see the light of day once again. Hedonistic vacations in the islands, swinger car key parties, my wife the whore to the blacks next door. Please share your Polaroids.
We don’t have any Polaroids but several flash cards from old digital cameras and pictures and videos from meetings from the last 3 decades on an external drive that stays disconnected from the pc.
 
Yep. I'm old enough to remember when that was the most discrete way to go.

I worked a Photo Hut near a mall, and shockingly, some people would get sex photos developed there. Sometimes, I'd make a copy for myself, if they were good.
How could you not?
