IMHO, if you share your wife, the man with her is "dictating" the moment, you are serving in a submissive role while he assumes an Alpha role.
Socially men are wired to be Alphas with their woman and displays of sexual prowess is one of the ways we establish the dominant role. If you allow another man to assume that role would it not make sense you are somewhat submissive?

I would imagine better than traditional marriage since you are taking the "affair" out of it in most cases. We've been married 28 years and never had any issues with cheating, that I am aware of. If either one wants to stop or take a break, like we just had to for almost a year, we do. I think couples in the lifestyle communicate better than most traditional marriages. We've been together almost 20 years and nothing has negatively impacted my view of my husband or our marriage. Sex entails a lot of things and one those things is "power" or dominance over of another, this being a man over a woman. IMHO, once you cede your role as the central male in a sexual relationship with your wife to another man he becomes that central figure for that moment and assumes power over your wife.
