I read the article you attached, and it supports my argument that racist people implement policies, but it doesn't make the system racist. A system has no opinion. It's an inanimate object.
Take my company for example. By our CEO hiring a Diversity Director to hire more people of color based on their skin/ethnicity/culture, the system itself didn't become racist. A racist CEO put in a racist policy. It is a pure definition of racism. By giving special privilege to people of a certain race, in this case, colored people, it marginalizes people who are white/Caucasian.
Also, that article was flawed in its logic. It said 80% of black women in the study "felt" pressured to change their hair. Feelings aren't an objective study statistic. If 80% of black women were ****** to change their hair or be fired/demoted/passed up for promotion, that's an objective statistic. But this article talked about feelings. Sorry, but anyone who has been around the block a few times knows that people's feelings (of any race) are often irrational and mostly based on internal fears that have little-to-no basis in reality.
