Why do I keep seeing this?

Me too. I think several reasons. 1. the person that uploaded it did not get all the info into the upload. 2. For some reason the decided to take it down. 3. The sensors did not like they are not verified. I think the path was is not complete, it might be on a cloud somewhere or last but not least the were unable to finish the upload or did not know how to upload the item
Verified and gold members have options to send/receive media in private messages, including additional security blocks for their media and profile.
That's nice but I get it from when someone posts on here and it appears that they want everyone to see the post.
They can choose who can see their media with many options.
Many choose to allow only people they follow, or only verified members see their media or profiles.
You cannot tell what personal privacy settings real and/or verified members have selected.
