How to celebrate MLK day

Ok u got me. I called out the other guy and yet my cock is out here swinging too. But don't get it twisted, this site is a social community where it goes beyond more than just porn and sex but all types of discussions involving black and white relationships in all areas of activity from economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, religion, sex and war.

So don't look so myopic in just one area of your view on this site as there is the opportunity to engage in a whole lot more. If you have seen any of my other posts you know I contribute a majority of my posts to sex and porn but I'm also open to discuss and post on just about anything relating to blacktowhite life. I normally stay out of the political discussions which I will go back to doing after here.

Dont be cowed into silence, your opinions are as welcome as anybody else's.

Also, there is a difference between having a dick pic in your avatar and posting a dick pic in a discussion thread about MLK Jr.

i think Anthony jackie said it best about why the film is not doing well. since August of last year, the ramping up of racial tensions, some rightly so, and some concocted has left a bad taste in the mouth of the American Public at large about racial struggle. The movie tells a story about a pivotal point in time in American History but because Oprah is involved and all the racial tension in the recent past, people just are getting fed up of black white conflict. i told one of my white friends one day that i think i fear one day that people are gonna be tired of hearing us as black people talk about ourselves as black all the time. I think my prediction is coming to fruition.

Absolutely agree, Dan. Hey, this movie, and anything referencing the turbulence of the Jim Crow era, steps on a lot of toes and embarrasses a lot of people. Plus, the rhetoric and actions of the past couple elections have brought out the worst in some, and it is, "if you can't win their vote, stop 'em from voting." With that attitude, if they aren't embarrassed, then I'm embarrassed for them as a white man. This country can't afford to take a half century step backwards, it just can't. There needs to be more movies just like this, by even better and bigger producers, to make us look at our past foolishness. Some would take us back today if they could. Mac

The racism word has been thrown around so much, its lost its meaning.
Now when there is a legitimate complaint, many people say "whatever".

racism has no color ... in fact discriminations of all types (appearance, gender, politics, religion, age, etc) still exist, but are simply hard to put meaningful, enforceable legislation around. But they should never be ignored. If the past 2 elections didn't prove racial discrimination (by otherwise educated, older white people who should know better) then you don't really have a handle on the topic, or you've living in a state of denial.
I'm not suggesting or picking sides, here, as we all have a responsibility to fight obvious discriminations.

Here's a bit of humor:
An executive is hiring for a new administrative assistant's job, and he's narrowed it down to 3 subjects.
  • 1st subject was 58 years old and had 26 years experience as an administrative assistant with another executive in the firm
  • 2nd subject was 24 years old, had several degrees and excellent experience with computer software
  • 3rd subject was married, 36 years old, with a family, and had been the secretary to the recently retired VP-accounting.
So who did he pick?
The one with the big tits and cute ass, of course! gif_GirlsWalking.gif GIF_GrouchoMarx.gif

lol. Gotta say - and I mean no harm, you seem like an intelligent guy and have some interesting things to say - but I get halfway through a paragraph and see your dick swinging in the avatar on the left of the page and just crack up. lol. Political discussion on a porn site is just awkward and funny.
When it comes to politics, alpha males dominate.

And when someone has political power, no matter how small your dick is, you will have more woman than you will know what to do with.

Just because you didnt vote for Obama, doesnt mean you are racist. In fact by your accusation I am one.

I didnt vote for him because I didnt like his policies and inexperience.

In fact, if you want to go down that route; the only racism I saw was from the black community. All voting for Obama because he's black.

*** FIRST OFF - for those who think its awkward to read my posts and get distracted at my profile pic, well put your hand over my pic to cover it up and read on. *****

Well it wasn't exactly all and you shouldn't paint people with a broad brush. The black community is not a monolithic group as the right-wing and Fox-news spinster's would like gullible people to believe. Hermain Cain, Michael Steele, and fine-ass stacy dash made it publicly known they weren't going to vote for Obama either [1].

While 93% of blacks in America is a high number, still over 70% of Hispanics and Asians voted for Obama too and those numbers spell a continuing defeat for Republicans when it comes to the Presidency. [2] 4% of blacks polled did not vote for Obama in 2008 so he didn't get 'ALL' of the Black vote then either. But one thing you can say here is that the Black community is loyal even if it is to a fault. I know the Republicans would love to have a voting block that they could just count on 90% of them being in the tank for them on election day.

Which brings up another problem now how there are un-fair electoral processes taking place to suppress, and undermine the black vote and unfortunately it appears to be carried out by Republican operatives which furthers the distrust of the Black community with Republicans. They have been challenging people at the polls, doing robo-calls giving mis-information about polling station locations, purposely under staffing and not providing enough polling stations for people to vote in predominantly Black and Latino communities such as what took place in Florida during 2012. That was a travesty on Gov. Jeb Bush's watch and no doubt his administration whether unbeknownst to him or not had a conspiratorial hand in that.

And although on the surface it may appear racists to some (and we need to talk about the definition of Racism because it is being misused on this thread), looking at where this country has came from with its Past and all we have discussed on this thread, many Black people (again not all) are still suspicious of the Republicans and just think they don't hold their best interests at heart. So here comes a bi-racial guy (half-black/white) Obama and he identifies with the Black community so they are going to throw their support behind him and plus this is history and gives the so-called 'Black community' a feeling of having made progress to even have someone who happens to be bi-racial able to be elected where just 40yrs ago Blacks where still fighting for their constitutional and civic rights to vote.

I myself personally admire Mitt Romney and Ive been studying John McCain's Dossier on Mitt Romney and his Bain Capital structure and I am now using that as my own personal life strategy to become successful in employing what he did to make his millions.

In the end and in the spirit of Dr. MLK, people want to know which candidate is going to have the best interest of all American's at heart and who would be the best servant of the people in which the majority during the last election with 55% of white woman also agreeing that it was Obama.

93%? Thats racial solidarity. Racism! Vote for the color of the man, not for his policies.

You are simplifying a complex matter that is not that simple. Blacks already know the Democratic platform and that person who runs on that ticket and campaigns is touting that platform mantra. Its not simply all because he is black as the policies do matter also.

I think if Collin Powell had run on the Republican Ticket he still wouldn't have gotten 45% of the black vote and it would have went to Obama or Hillary at that point.

You didn't see Blacks running out to back Hermain Cain because he was black. He had different policies and it didn't resonate, although I personally thought the 9-9-9 flat tax plan was brilliant. Actually it might not be sustainable to bring in enough revenue and a 12-12-12 % flat tax might work better but I digress. I look at Grover Norquist and the American's for Tax Reform movement so see clearly you are talking to one Black Man that does look at and know about policies which thus negates your argument of blacks simply voting for Obama cause he is black and not looking at the policies as mute.

So you are saying that blacks vote for a person who represents their views, thats OK. But when whites do the same and not vote for a black candidate because their views are not the same, thats racism?

syscom, I can assure you that there were as many moderate/liberal whites that voted Republican simply because Obama was black as did blacks that voted for Obama because he was black. Racism? There's no difference!

The margins of victory by Obama kind of proves he won a lot of the liberal white vote.

Why of course, because more conservatives are racially biased than liberals, and don't representative the working class. Conservatives are entrenched in the "supply-side economics" theory which has destroyed the middle class worker, and shifted wealth to the upper 2-3%. Middleclass haven't had a pay raise in over 30+ years, thanks to "trickle down". Crony capitalism, voodoo capitalism ... that's what the conservative party represents now. And its not going to get any better as the right pushes to go even further right on policy.

As of next year, syscom, it is projected that the top 1% in the world will own 50% of the world's wealth ... that's half the wealth of the entire world. That was on the news just yesterday, by the way.

Definitely meant no harm, man. Everyone should speak their mind. I was just joking because it was cracking me up.

I know it's late in this Discussion but the reason I voted for Obama not because he was black or his policies but how he conducted himself how he ran his campaign that to me said it all.

Thread bump in honor of MLK day. I actually gotta work today (go figure). Go see/rent Selma if you haven't already as it enlightened me on alot of things I had no idea about MLK. I always thought he only made speeches and marched (forgive me as I wasn't born until decades after her was assassinated). But the film showed me he was a great strategist and organizer. Absolutely brilliant.

I also read the Book (or listened to the audio-book actually) "Gandhi the Man, and how one man transformed himself to transform the world." by Eknath Eawaran. I didn't realize that Gandhi was heavily influenced by Leo Tolstoy who helped give him the ideas about non-violence. Now after studying about MLK, and Gandhi gotta go back and research Leo Tolstoy.

Anyway - in memory of MLK. A brave man who sacrificed his life for peace for everyone.

Well I actually slipped in 2hrs of time in between working out and then playing with a new couple on MLK day Monday to go see Selma just because of the controversy around it I had to go see it for myself. Thanks to @syscom3 for motivating me to get off my ass and go check it out to see just how bad it was.

I thought the movie was superb beyond me not immediately identifying with the actor who portrayed MLK. I thought at first when it started oh how boring this movie is going to be but then "BOOM" the whole movie theater jumped out their seats and that woke everyone up who may have started to fall asleep like me.

The story was very powerful and gripping with the Director Ava DuVernay (not Oprah) doing a fantastic job with the cinematography, costumes, and scenery to convincingly place the audience back in that time period. You felt you were in the middle of thr struggle in Selma with the closeness of the cameras always in the center of MLK and his SLCC cohorts debating on what to do next. Oprah had maybe 3 scenes and no big speaking roles and was just a back drop in the film.

I didn't know much about the story that took place at the bridge and this really shook me to tears uncontrollably falling from my eyes. I also enjoyed how the movie covered the thinking and organizing process of MLK which is something I never really looked at before. I thought the movie did a fantastic job showing how his tactics were so effective in getting the results that caused the huge changes we all reap today. He was a cold-calculator anticipating the moves of his opponents like a Grandmaster Chess-player. I loved that.

Now on to the big controversy - LBJ. I didn't see anything wrong with how LBJ was portrayed in the film. I thought it was fair to him in that he always gave MLK a warm welcome to the Oval office and there was never any hostility, yet LBJ made it clear to MLK that he had another agenda and he wanted MLK to lead the civil rights movement and not to let the black militant radicals hijack the cause. I thought that was probably accurate of how it actually went down. And as @MacNfries had pointed out earlier, LBJ touted his war on poverty program and told MLK that was a higher priority for him than on enforcing voter rights which was left up to the states.

This dynamic portrayal of the two characters was important for the context, set-up, conflict, and drama of the film and it worked. It was also fair to LBJ in that it showed how he challenged Alamaba Governor George Wallace and those scenes actually got some of the loudest laughs from the movie attenders than any other scenes in the movie. Ol' Gov Wallace tried to talk slick with Pres LBJ but LBJ checked his ass.

The film got 2 thumbs up from me, I enjoyed it and I would go see it again. My brother saw it on the same day with his wife and told me it was "alright" and that he didn't like the actor that played MLK much either, but the actress who played Correta Scott King was a great supporting role along with President LBJ actor, Gov. George Wallace, and the young guy who played John Lewis.

Every American needs to see that movie and be reminded of what so many Blacks, and whites who they showed in the film also were beaten, murdered, and killed by other racist whites, and the KKK. So it didn't leave out the many white people who sacrificed their lives to help the cause.

I think this puts a nail on this topic - the way to have spent MLK day was go see Selma and go fuck a BlackBull, or some white pussy for racial harmony which is exactly what I did that day. There you have it.

iakovos_martin_luther_king_jr.jpg

Oh yeah and @syscom3 - that Greek orthodox preist* (thx to @bm_from_southjersey for the correction) was in the movie too. It didn't miss much but yet people always have criticisms. You can't never please everybody but the people who said to boycott the film are treasonists to what everyone in Selma sacrificed their lives for to move the needle forward in making this country live up to its tenets in the Constitution which all they ever asked for with peaceful protests and were met with such atrocious violence. The people who have said to boycott the film are saying to ignore the injury and injustice that was done all over again. They are literally missing the BIG PICTURE.

In memory of MLK and the others who died in Selma- may they all R.I.P. and nay-sayers of the film may they rot in hell.

You know I am thinking the OP really wanted to know what some of the things they could do on MLK Day. Well back in 2001 my husband and I were traveling to Gatlinburg, Tenn. and stopped in Memphis to spend the night. As happened to me a lot I was approached that night by two black men. I was playing a slot machine in Fitzgerald's casino where we were staying when the guys walked up and started talking to me. They wanted to know what I was going to do the next day. I told them we were traveling and would be leaving the next morning. Anyway to make this a little shorter they wanted me to go to the MLK Day parade the next day. My husband was playing the machine next to me so he had heard the conversation so I asked him what he thought? He said go if you want to, we are not really on any schedule. One thing led to another and not only did I go with them that night but it was a couple of days before we got to leave for Gatlinburg. I will say I left with a smile on my face, my pussy full of black man's cum and a sore ass but it was the best MLK Day I ever spent. So white women give up that pussy on MLK Day and the black guys and you will be happy.
