It's this lack of education and flippant attitude that are the reason we have Super Gonorrhea. That statement is very untrue and irresponsible. Bacterial STIs can be treated but can also cause irreversible harm if not treated in time. Viral STDs you have to live with forever and some could shorten your life by quite a bit. Most people don't even know they have an STI. Go look at the CDC statistics and see for yourself how fast the infection rates are increasing in the US. About half of sexually active teens and young adults will get an STI before their 25th birthday. Reported STDs in the U.S. reach all-time high for 6th consecutive year. You could have found what I wrote here in less than 2 minutes. Also, go to the WHO website and look at their statistics. It is very concerning.

The more ******* spreads and mutates the more it learns to evade our frontline methods. Antibiotic resistance is a terrifying problem, people really take not dying from infections for granted and that's a luxury we're on the verge of losing.
If people did literally 2 seconds of googling like you're suggesting, using a condom and getting regular testing wouldn't seem like enough protection, let alone overblown
