Just for fun, created a tinder account for some variety. who has experience with settings to determine who can see, and blocking potential family and vanilla friends?

Yes the wife and I created a Tinder profile for her for a minute but she got nervous about possible friends or family seeing it so we took it down.
Tinder Gold has an option to only be visible to people you've liked but you'll need to pay or be such a popular profile they upgrade you for free.
Otherwise don't link your profile to other social media accounts and hope for the best. You can also remove yourself from discovery but removing yourself from discovery means you won't show up in anyone's stack and won't be getting any matches which basically makes the app pointless.

There is a section when creating your profile to block ppl on your contacts. That's what my wife did when she was cheating back in July.
If she is interested in signing up for POF, you can make your profile invisible and nobody will be able to see your profile unless you view their profile
