Last 2 gf's had a difficult time with sph or speaking harshly to me about my performance or comparing me to other men/past boyfriends. They both seemed to mention similar reasons - their upbringing and that it was counter to what they thought...and I suppose "protecting" their man's ego. From my perspective, I would rather not have a woman lie to me to build up my ego - it's far more of a turn on for my woman to be honest and open. I agree with the previous poster - much of this has to do with control and letting go from the "real world" (stress, etc).
