i think most important is that all the involved persons know what they want and communicate their goals openly. Then it is a question of respect to accept a "no" from either of the others. If consensus is not achievable there shall be a compromise everyone can live with. My advice: When in doubt, don`t do it!

If a night with "the bull" or a desire for that is associated with a closer emotional connection between the wife and her lover ImO that needs to be addressed. Most relationships are not static but have a potential to develop. The question is: Is a development that`s desired by either one of the involved parties approved by each of the others? If the answer is "yes" then it will be safer to proceed. If not, then you`ll need to deal with it!
