The first part of your finishing sentence applies very strongly to me too.
Of course I cannot speak for all men who are said to possess the trait of so-called "latent homosexuality", which trait I (as an MD) believe is better described as "repressed or consciously suppressed" homosexuality.
But I can speak for myself as follows.
I am bisexual and versatile but straight-acting with my young and only black lover, my best buddy since he was 17, who is bisexual too. He happens to be the husband of my ex-wife who I amicably divorced 3 years ago so he could marry her. Which to my great joy he very gladly did.
We are still living in a harmonious and (as men) pretty much equal-sharing menage-a-trois with my ex-wife, loving each other and her and sleeping together in the original marriage bed as we did for the 5 years before they married.
Now here's my foil question to the concept of "latent" sexuality:
As a 17-year-old virgin claiming no sexual attraction at all to with women before he fucked my then-wife, but instead was manifestly homosexually-acting with me, was he a "latent heterosexual", or simply a nascent heterosexual who "came out" at my urging and guidance in his first threesome with me and my wife with whom he performed perfectly naturally, magnificently and very satisfyingly first up?
My strong belief is that originally heterosexually-performing husbands of wives who cuckold them are not homosexual at all but, like my buddy, are bisexual---or "latently bisexual" or "closet bisexuals" if you prefer.
That's not to say that some manifestly and confessedly bisexual men don't leave their wives and abandon heterosexual life, sometimes altogether, in favour of expressing and physically acting out their homosexual desires. They most certainly do.
Thankfully I am not one of those, but am erotically and very satisfyingly indulging myself and my ex and my beautiful buddy to the hilt by acting, openly and quite equally time-wise, in both my hetero and homo sexual modes.
To conclude: On the above evidence I can't even imagine how any bystander or sexolgist or psychologist could discern me to be a "latent" anything, let alone justifiably dub me one.
But please feel free to disagree.
