You are correct about the generational differences. Younger people have that much-different perspective that you described. I am a retired high school teacher, and I know how far most of them go in their sexual adventuring.
Oh it was a huge issue in my family. All of the ******* around my age were encouraged to focus on grades and education and if we dated to date one person and probably marry that person or have a good reason why they didn't. My mom was not as strict and so she never had an issue when my report card had Bs on it, or when I hung out with guys and dated multiple men through high school and college. The rest of our family told her she had raised a delinquent and I was on my way to being an alcoholic and failure.
Thank goodness for your mom and her sensible outlook! Many who were raised the first way you described probably went on to extramarital affairs, hangups of various kinds, etc.
Oh everyone has their dirty laundry. To think otherwise is ignorance really or at least in my opinion. At the end of the day I am not an alcoholic or a failure and I am very happy with my life.
I think generally speaking, the "nicer" the family, the more dirty laundry. Not always, of course.

Well basically it starts in this house and the whole house looks like a huge orgy has been going on. Everyone in leather and various outfits and Britney comes out looking freshly out of a porn video and as she goes through the house they dress her and she goes out the front door to meet up with her family looking like the perfect family out of a 50s or 60s TV show.
