I have no problem in exposing the fake people and/or profiles especially if it can save anyone from the time, money, and effort that goes into setting up a real meetup. However, the only issue I have is when people take a moral high ground on the issue. For crying out loud, this is an adult site not a church pulpit. If you feel that way, then why are you here? This site attracts all sorts of people from all around the world (sometimes uber conservative regions) and it should be a place were these folks can enjoy themselves.

I don't have a problem with that in the areas (dating) where it actually matters and might do some good, but are you saying everyone has to put up with a constant barrage of FAKE! FAKE! FAKE! every time some wanker posts some crap that most of us are capable of recognizing as being bs or are just letting go because we understand it is mostly fantasy crap?

There is nothing self righteous about what I'm talking about, it's needless use of web space and serves no real purpose. We know it's mostly bs or fantasy. We don't need someone to point out that someone posted pictures of four different pregnant women to realize that they aren't all of her.

I think what the fakers want is to elevate their fantasy to the highest level. And if that means perpetuating their "alter egos" on here to the point were folks can't really tell the difference, then that's dangerous. I'll admit, I have a pretty good eye at spotting when something is no quite right. However, sometimes, it isn't that easy. Especially if you don't know anything about photo manipulation or whatnot. That's when I appreciate when people call them out. Though, when it shifts from that to indirectly insulting folks on here or having a holier-than-thou attitude (on an adult site of all places) that's when it irks me. Other than that, I have pretty thick skin.

Perhaps the moderators need to be more active in closing down threads that don't really serve a purpose or that are malicious in nature? That way we wouldn't need self proclaimed watchdogs doing all "work" and causing such a fuss? I'm open to all opinions.

I would imagine that the majority of people here are not entirely honest about themselves and there is not doubt a lot of out and out fakes. I simply ignore the threads that I don't like. I am under no compulsion to visit a thread that I don't like. I have noticed that over the last few months that there is a group of people that I regularly interact with. How real or unreal they are I have no idea and don't care, we just have common interests and attitudes. As long as the person isn't advocating anything illegal like sex with children, blowing up the world or other nefarious things why bother with them? If they are advocating anything illegal they should be shut down and shut off immediately
