Well, actually, I think it probably led to "musket clutching". I think it was done to alarm white southerners of the hazards of abolition. If slavery were abolished and blacks given "equality", it could ultimately lead to, (GASP!) black men dancing with white women and that could lead to (double gasp!) black men having sex with white women! So, the irony here is that a site like B2W is proving the slaveowner/segregationists right! Black men having sex with white women is celebrated here (and many other places and ways).
