Not being "traditional" helps make it easier to explain away to curious family or friends not aware of your lifestyle should you want to keep it private: "I thought it was a pretty design."
Yet, in the appropriate venues, it should generate enough interest among those in the know who might be curious enough to approach you to ask if it has any "special meaning", just to be sure.
