I do like The Loft and I go there about 5 times a year. I attend the daytime parties as well as the Wednesday night BBC/IR parties. I have had more action at the daytime parties. The Wednesday night BBC/IR party can be hit and miss. There were nights when it was dead, and nights where the party was on. If you are coming from out of town, and have the time, I would say visit during the Wednesday daytime party and come back in the evening.
