When I first posted mine it wouldn't work either. I actually had to screenshot the pictures I wanted to use, then post the screenshot instead of the original picture. I couldn't get it to work any other way.

I cant even access my albums on my phone? Literally just gives me the option to add a url
That is strange. I'm not sure how to fix that. But if they're on Google photos, maybe you could generate a link on the picture and use that. Not a perfect solution, but possibly a work around.
