If there is ANYTHING on this website MORE relevant than the 2020 Presidential race, I and probably many million of other people, would certainly love to know what you think it is? Right now, not only is it the most important topic at THIS SITE and in the USA, its the most important topic in the entire WORLD. Black Lives Matter? That not relevant to this site? The political threads were graciously granted and started years ago to spare the rest of the website members from the political jousting and arguing of politics in other interracial thread topics. Just say "thank you" to the administration HERE and put this whole section on ignore, ok? Plenty of other choices for you. However, we'll certainly miss you here ...

The last shot is a long way off. American Presidents are compared to both present and former world leaders. You mention their names and everyone has an opinion. Trump will be the same.
As tacky as it may sound, as of yesterday afternoon's events, maybe NOT that as far off as you might imagine.
Trump's starting to fulfill one of his promises ... JOBS ... seems we're gonna be building a lot of Federal Prisons soon!
... and I'm hoping Trump & his family and administration get the first 2-3 dozen cell block numbers. Only fitting!

You'll be fine. You just had democratic elections, without any voting fraud, and Biden won. He isn't going to turn usa into a socialist nightmare. America's left wing is still pretty right wing compared to many countries.
In four years' time you'll get a chance to change your government and, if more people vote republican, you'll have what you want. If they don't, you won't, but that's your system and it is fair.
What isn't fair is screaming fraud where none can be demonstrated, dragging your own democratic system through the mud, attacking and killing those who keep you safe. What isn't fair is undermining your own constitution because it didn't go your way.
You didn't win, democracy did. And you have devalued it and weakened it. America's standing has never been lower in the eyes of the world. First you voted in a greedy, selfish, narcissistic bully and now you're trying to break the system set up by your founding fathers because you believed his lies.
Time to suck it up. That's democracy. You're lucky you don't actually live in China where you aren't even allowed to have these conversations.

Wow i spent too much time trying to figure out what Hete had to do with Trump. It is a word not common but it's real. Obviously a simple spelling error in this case. I came to that conclusion by reading the other responses. Political discussion is nothing new. I've observed it my entire life possibly more than many here. Raised in a home where politics was a part of the daily things to do. ******* and grandfather very involved but never ran or wanted to for any public office. Multiple businesses, big contributors to politicians. Not unusual to sit on my fathers knee at the table after Sunday dinner with often several guests. Politicians many times from both Republican and democratic parties.
They were often very loud over the disagreements between them but there was no evidence of hate. They played golf as a group on Saturday , ate dinner at our table in friendly interaction Sunday.
I've seen this change to hate develop over the past few decades. Unchecked it's turned to violence. I'm beginning to think that Russian premier who many laughed at decades ago might turn out to have been correct. He predicted the government of the USA would fall without a single Russian firing a shot. Toppled from within by people who are convinced they're protecting the system.
We need to have discussion but without hate. We need to have debate but with truth from all participants. Not lies or promises so expensive or absurd they can never be fulfilled.
We the people need to stop the hate filled shots at those with different ideas. Most of all we need to elect people to positions they are qualified for. Not because they said i agree on some social issue or because they once served in our military. Neither in my opinion qualify them for anything.
