If the student is 18 or 19, which has happened in many cases, I think the govt should butt out. As long as the student is not in the teacher's class there is no conflict. In my highschool we didn't have a problem with students and teachers having sex (that I know of), but we had an issue with security guards fucking students.

THAT BEING SAID... I'm pleased to see that there are grown white women who are not just willing but eager to teach young black men about interracial sex. I don't think there's anything wrong with fantasizing about any such scenario. It's even been dealt with humoursley as in the SNL sketch Teacher Trial but in the real world there just has to be a firm line drawn. There should be equal and severe consequences for any teacher who so unprofessionally violates their duty even if the encounter was completely consensual, non coercive and even completely pleasurable. Fantasies are great but we all need to have self control and in the absence of that, the enforcement of a very firm set of rules.

I'm a teacher and I believe that any teacher that has sex with one of their students should go to prison for a long time. It especially angers me when I see that male teachers usually get prison and female teachers often get probation.

It doesn't matter if the student is over the age of consent. It doesn't matter if the student is 18 and legally an adult. When parents send their children to school they are trusting teachers like me to not only give their children an education; they also expect us to keep their children safe. Unfortunately with all of the school shootings lately keeping them safe isn't always possible. But we try.

I consider it a privilege to be trusted enough to make an impact on a baby's life. Every time something likes this happens it erodes the public's trust in our education system.
