Your media can be deleted so forum members are unable to view it, yes.
We don’t delete accounts in the traditional sense. Not logging in for a long period of time will render the account inactive. After a period of inactivity the system will purge the account.

For what it’s worth, a lot of folks usually return after a time. You may just want to set all your settings to private and let that be that.
