Interracial culture in south africa

It has a lot to do with huge mistrust[and radical politics do not help the cause] ; and incorrect perceptions and a healthy dose of racism cause that the different groups do not freely mix; share and mingle
Just how intense is the racism and segregation between races in South Africa?

Segregation was around since 1904 and ended with democracy in 1994. Lots of poverty is still around. Under development of black, coloured and Indian communities stopped in 1994. So you can see 90yrs of underdevelopment cannot be wiped out overnight.
So no segregation is on the statute books. But the mindset of the privileged must change

lots of people speak about apartheid but things have changed today.

White and black see each other at school and at the university. I guess that at some point white women want to try black isn't it?

Yes, it is so.
At school and university the ******* and students meet.
It is the racism and attitudes that exists at home that will take long to eradicate
