With regards to Jesse Owens there was something important that he said. Not only did he crush Hitler's Aryan supremacy B.S. but Owens said himself "Some people say Hitler snubbed me. But I tell you, Hitler did not snub me. I am not knocking the President. Remember, I am not a politician, but remember that the President did not send me a message of congratulations because, people said, he was too busy."

Jesse Owens wasn't even recognized by his own US Government for being an American Hero until 1990 when he finally and only posthumously was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal by President George H. W. Bush. As for LBJ, yeah he was a real racist bastard but he ran all of the other more rabid racist bastards str8 outta the Demo-crypts hood into the Repub-bloods hood for good now. He gets credit for that.

Again you are proving my points my friend. As Jesse Owens was not just accepted from the Republicans of his era, but as you shown he was posthumously awarded by a Republican president in the future. Plus the notion of FDR being too busy may be plausible, but all presidents have chiefs of staff that could easily be charged with that responsibility of sending congratulations on his behalf.
