UR3 isn't a body-safe material: it's porous, providing a breeding ground for bacteria and preventing toys made from it being properly sanitized.

Lower quality UR3 may contain phthalates. Bacteria + phthalates should taste far from amazing. Lower quality UR3 may also contain latex or may deteriorate over time.

If you want a realistic dildo, stick to ones made from premium silicone.

Appreciate the advice! But, nowhere in the those articles did it say UR3 isn’t safe. We take good care of our toys and wash before and after each use.

All three links point out that UR3 is porous. Washing the toys won't remove germs trapped in the pores. Also, unlike silicone, UR3 can't be sanitized in boiling water or in a bleach solution.

Check out Vixskin by vixen Creations. or if you are a size queen like me.. MrHankeystoys.com has some wonderful huge silicone toys.. They feel so good. Vixen has a good warranty too. Right. But never said the material itself is dangerous. Just that you need to take extra care. In cleaning or cover with a condom.

"Body-safe" means nontoxic and nonporous. Reputable health-conscious manufacturers have plenty of silicone dildos on the market, many affordable and realistic. Customers should avoid "novelty items" that aren't body-safe.
