started hitting the gym any advice?

Im a ex P.Trainer so what you want to do is start by warming up by treadmill or cycle for 20min. And develop this routine 3 days a week or more so after you warm up .start with your upper body first. Arms such as chest,shoulders, triceps, biceps 3 sets of 15reps light weight if it to light add more if needed after you finish that routine get back on the treadmill for 30min .done for that day.ok day 2 you legs warm up again finish you warm up and start your legs with squats 4 sets of 15.start with 45 pounds work ur way up to 90 pounds. And leg press 4 set of 15 . Look for other legs. equipment in the gym .if you follow this routine for two week you should see some good results. now if you want a nice firm butt for black men do squats 2 times a week

The muscle contraction is important, not just the number or reps. You need to feel the muscle really contract and get that tension for about half a second each rep
