Interesting data set..the reality from a market standpoint, is the porn industry continues declining in revenue due to the online internet world providing free access..with the proliferation of so much online and non-professional material, the adult industry will probably decline significantly to only smaller niches of interest (S&M, Bondage etc) that have specialized viewer groups. The ironic thing is the adult industry drove the popularity of video cassettes, DVD players, and internet demand. Now it's a victim of it's own success and consumer technology demand.

The porn business is one of the few left that would let hit and run scam artists (perhaps too harsh a label) profit from selling material that was contrived and staged:

I won't spend a dime on that fake and foisted nonsense. I suspect many others who would want to see it would just head to the Pirate Bay (online file sharing site) and not pay to own a copy of the disc when it comes out.

Movies and video games are making record money. It is more impressive the sales in those industries given the fact of the economy. The quality of their content is decent vs the quality of porn in it's modern state.

The real killer of porn? The rest of the electronic networks we use to interact. The internet is not only the land of porn downloads, it is the land of Twitter connects, Facebook hook ups, learn to 'seduce' women courses to access, dating sites, adult dating sites, ways to meet ****** and swingers message boards...

I love porn but why just watch others fuck when you can get more sexual interactions yourself? That said, I don't use the net for my hook up interests... Still information technology like the interet is now the background of much of people's lives, to a percentage, and actual human contact will win out over the on screen version of the same encounters. Sexual encounters for certain!
