is it racist?

I assume you're referring to the confederate flag in the background. Possibly the fact that the flag is there might indicate the person's biasness as a racist. Possibly that flag is a flag that person's great-great-great grandfather brought back from the war.
One thing is for sure, however, if its in the privacy of one's own home, it has every right to be displayed if the owner so desires.
What's really disgusting, however, is that gawd-awful wall paper. Only a tasteless, sick individual would hang paper that ugly in their home.
Racism is a human emotion. A flag cannot be racist because it and other inanimate objects cannot have feelings and emotions.
Thats exactly right BM, people are so sensitive today in regards to everything. Its a flag people, a flag from the confederate states, get over it. I for one dont get upset over anything like that, hell you can call me honky, cracker whatever you want. Doesn't bother me at all and a flag sure as hell would not.
