Interracial in pop culture

I was looking for a movie on netflix and just out of curiosity I went to the "romance" section. I noticed that there aren't any movies that involve interracial couples. All these movies are either an all black cast or an all white cast. I did a google search and found there is a wikipedia page that lists all movies with interracial themes, turns out there isn't many of them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_interracial_romance_films

The entertainment industry has prided itself as being progressive on many issues but when it come to IR relationships in particular those involving black men and white women the industry is super conservative which is why you dont see too many movies or tv shows. Though in the last few years those relationships are slowly creeping in more and more. Honestly though this is really an american thing, looking at tv shows and movies produced in Canada and Europe IR relationships have been commonplace for a long time.
